I think a nice little detail is that the whole time he's doing this. His eyes are completely shut and he is hitting every single key perfectly while singing his heart out. This shows that he rehearsed this song relentlessly to the point where he could do it with his eyes closed and not mess up. THAT my friends. Is true dedication.

Man, this song from Johnny the Gorilla is so brilliant and very catchy in my opinion and not to mention that it captures the nostalgia of Elton John’s performance which is very impressive in my opinion. I adore this movie and I definitely enjoy this more than Zootopia in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I like Zootopia but I love Sing more in my opinion.

What I haven’t seen is that this song symbolizes Johnny’s story. This song mentions that someone(in this context, Johnny) got their life together after leaving their memories of someone behind. He moved past the guilt of going into crime to support his father and doing his own thing, which is music. He is “still standing” even after his father got stuck in prison.
