For the sake of historical truth: This song was written by Elsa Laura von Wolzogen during the Great War in 1917. It is the German counterpart to Flanders Fields. The Landsknecht is synonymous with the simple German field soldier. Incidentally, the short form of Landsknecht is "Landser".

The "Landsers" brought the death to Belgium/Flanders, indeed. They murdered 5.700 civilians in Louvain, Dinant, Visé, ..... the youngest was 4 months old.

The use of a female voice adds a distinctively elegiac, lyrical quality to this song (which would be absent missing when the vocals are only in the male voice). Good work, Karl Sternau & kameraden!

Actually I think that is actually a member of the Death Korp of Krieg from warhammer. Very germanesk character from warhammer. Didn't think so till I noticed the chest piece.
