Singapore Mandai Bird Paradise | Things To Know Before Going to Asia's Largest Bird Park

A fantastic day out at Mandai Bird Paradise in Singapore. It's Asia's largest bird park. Previously Jurong Bird Park but it moved over to Mandai to be closer to the other wildlife attractions in May 2023.
Going on a weekday we were able to enjoy the bird park being less crowded. We hope this video helps others wanting to visit too.
NB: the shuttle going to Mandai Wildlife West is $2 SGD (use your EZ-link public transport card or MasterCard/Visa credit card, no cash accepted) but the shuttle back to the MRT from the park is free. It also runs frequently too, around every 10-15 mins usually.

I know right! They have so many different species. And the new park is just absolutely tops. The way its so immersive without using small cages is very impressive.

When you guys went to the food court I thought, if they get chicken I’m going to laugh…and you both got 🐓😂😂 Don’t know why, but that made me laugh 🤷‍♂️😂. Predator on Wings was cool… was both bummed and happy the snake was rubber.. something about watching nature do its thing is so mesmerizing. I got an orchid mantis recently and catching insects daily to feed it has been so interesting even though I’ve had many many mantises… Never get tired of watching them hunt. I’ve always thought bald eagles 🦅 look majestic and intelligent. Have to give it to the US.. they picked a good one. Thanks for sharing guys! That place looked amazing… definitely worth a whole day to spend there… just to find the shoebill 😁

Oh my goodness!! 😅😅😅 tbh we didn't even think of that 😬😬😬🙈🙊 hahahaha 😂 might love birds but also eating chicken 🤣 oh man orchid mantis scare me (clearly yen here coz I'm such an insect scaredy cat) 😅😅😅 but I'm sure Peter will appreciate your new pet hahaha 👍 but yea super cool place.. learnt lots of new stuff! Bummed we couldn't spot the shoebill after spending ages looking (almost till closing time lol) but glad he's got so much more nature and space now than the previous park where we did see him! Hope you're well Seoulman 😁 which part of the world are you in now?

@@PeterandYen Surf season is about to start up in Southern Thailand so I stopped by Phuket to see some friends😁. Would love to try and film a decent mini surf documentary if the opportunity presents itself. Have you guys started the next leg of your Asia trip? Is Laos still on the itinerary? Safe travel guys and looking forward to seeing all the cool places you guys visit and yummy things you guys eat😋😋😋

😂 so true it's amazing how organized singapore is. Everything is so neat and efficient. Plus some world class nature parks and entertainment thrown into the mix. Taylor swift was playing while we were there and the city was so busy 😅 Lots more south east Asia on the way 👍

Welcome back to the world of travelling guys. Thank you for showing us bird paradise. It is truly a paradise. You guys are very informative about all the things you saw and visited. We love Singapore, my bucket list is to stay at least 2 nights at the Marina Hotel for the infinity pool lol. Also, the garden that we never had a chance to see yet. The last time we were in Singapore was in 2019 and it was only stopping over 1 night from HK so we could catch the flight back to Sydney. We have so many bin chicken here in Australia. They're everywhere and they're a pest now 😅. I see them everyday wherever I go lol. They made loud noise too. Those red ibis are beautiful 😍.

😁 thank you ✌️ Good to be back on the road again. We're currently in Laos having a great time here. Been to Singapore many times, we go to catch up with yens sister and bro in law mainly. Have often considered that infinity pool but the $600 a night price tag for the hotel is a massive put off. That is like 300 noodle soups in laos 😂 We went to the garden this trip but only cause I wanted to try shake shack and that was the closest branch 😂😂😂

Maybe it is more now 🤔 it was a while ago when I checked. It's a really nice building though walked through when we went this time around. Do you prefer street food or restaurant food in Singapore? Yes we are trying everything here in laos 😂 those videos will be up very soon.

We got to see the shoebill in Jurong bird park last time and that's what started our fascination with the species. Really hoping to saying hello again 😅 next time

Thank you! We arrived at the bird park around 11.20am and left just before 5.30pm 🙂 you can definitely visit it much faster than we did as we take extra time to vlog and we also spent agesss trying to spot that shoebill stork 😂 hope you have a great time if you're going too!
