You should definitely watch the whole thing. I cried harder than I did at the original! I think it draws you into the story more, without losing the integrity of the original.

They took 8 days to film this scene in the middle of a heatwave. Ariana burned holes through her shoes from the heat and doing it so many times. They had to change some costumes due to the heat. This scene must have been hard and long to film but you can’t tell. They all look like they’re having so much fun and they’re all doing an amazing job. My favourite scene from a movie musical ever

The entirety of the new movie is tremendous, probably my favorite musical film of all time.

It's hard to beat the original, but this one is more authentic, meaning they actually spoke Spanish throughout the movie.

No they didn’t do it justice. Sometimes classics should be left alone. And in this case they shouldn’t have remade it at all

This version is...okay. The original is so much better. So much more spice. I like the classic because it isn't JUST the mains who are handed the one liners. The quips were handed to more of the ensemble in the song number. While this reboot focuses only on the good lines being directed to the two leads with the backups being only that.
