That silence at the end. Boom! Her mother was my science teacher when she was pregnant with Abbey. Her mother was my sons science teacher when she passed away. This girl is so much more than an artist. She’s the embodiment of beauty and grace. That special grace. His grace. Get em Grammy award winning Yebba!!

Michiko Smith Right?? ♡ There aren't enough reaction videos for Yebba's (or Abby's) singing!! I'll should call them experiences. :) I've watched all of them - but want more!! These guys are my favorite reaction to her, so far ;) I usually don't recomend music to other KZfaqrs, but you need to watch/listen to LP sing Lost On You (the live version is best!) It won't move you, on the par of Yebba, but I'm a big fan of LP since hearing it. I hope you enjoy! From one Yebba fan to another - have a great day! ♡

@@wallyboy6666 I just went and watched Lost on You by LP (the live version as u suggested) and it was, well... Lost on me. Not moving, not passionate, not inflected in ANY of the right spots, pulled chest voice throughout, had the entirely wrong mouth shape for all long vowels, dug for air about 60% of the time and had the tongye so far back in the mouth that the words weren't allowed to explode out as they should've. A subpar singer with the need of working with a voice coach like nobody's business. Someone can want to sing, can carry a tune and can even be comfortable in front of an audience, but if the technique isn't there, there will never be any flavor. *** P.S. Is LP a male or a female? Just curious?***

She a gospel singer to her bone, you can tell how she sounds like a person giving a song testimony that was a trail or tribulation in her life.

I forgot to mention in my previous comment....Yebba (which is backwards for her real name "Abbey" Smith) has good reason for the emotion behind this particular song, which is an original from her. She lost her mom, who took her own life, about a week after she performed this song for the first time. She has said that the song always makes her think of her mother and her mom's struggles. Scott Hoying is a HUGE fan of Yebba, as are all the members of PTX. Kirstin and Mitch have mentioned Yebba in their social media accounts and Scott raves about her every chance he gets. Ed Sheeran also is a fan of Yebba's. P.S. I think I saw some emotion from you, Ali. You couldn't hide it this time.

She's not underrated at all dude. Her fans just belong to a smaller group of people, people who get her and her music, in which she's _totally_ rated. When you're 15 or so, this is still out of your awareness, because most kids around that age haven't lived to get the receivers you need to get this.

Ooh shit...I just watched this and this is me 😮😮😮😮😮😮 through out the whole video..WOWW!! It's like I can feel her pain she sang this with her heart on her sleeve like damn. I re-watch this video on an weekly basis, at least, and I honestly am in tears almost every time. She is such an amazing and soulful singer. Her cover of “Gravity” with CLark Beckham is a must, as well was her new video for her single “Evergreen”. Watch everything by her that you can. She deserves to have a huge following.

Yebba is Abbey spelled backward. Her name is Abbey Smith! She sings from such a raw place... and her vocal techniques for getting that emotion are insane!! It's very church-inspired to me :) Marco taking off his jacket is all of us XD Gravity with Clark Beckham amd Evergreen next!

This was an unlikely click for me. I can't recall ever laughing as hard as I did, and God bless you for that speechlessness. The honesty on your faces was a gift. It's a reminder, isn't it, that sometimes something is too big, too beautiful to be made smaller with words. Anyone who has listened to this has been there. Not everyone is sensitive enough to turn off everything and just sit with it. Absolutely beautiful, you two.

Yebba is her name "Abbey" backwards, she chose it as her stage name after her mother committed suicide (5 days after filming this performance), because her mother used to call her that as a child. This was actually her first time ever performing an original song. The "must see" videos for her at the moment are: "Gravity" with Clark Beckham (John Mayer cover) "Smoke" with Luke Levenson (original) "Evergreen" Beats 1 official video (her first official single she just released) There is also a live Evergreen performance and lots of random short clips floating around that are ALL amazing, she is unreal.

i have seen many reaction of this and voice teacher, vocal coach´s and other speaking of technik´s and her tone´s, but no one seems to notice it, of course she has wailing tones, the story and the emotions she puts into it (heartache and anger) say it, what does a lovesick person do, cry, she has the sobs, the sighs, the whimpering, the bitter gasp and the pressed exhalation, transformed into tones of their singing. In other words "she cries the song in sorrow and rage" and the emotions she puts into it makes it so effective, remember and watch the performance again, you'll realize how impressive the song and her singing really is

Also she recently won a Grammy this year for a collaboration with PJ Morton. Sam Smith booked her as his support act based on this performance & she’s currently working on music with Mark Ronson. She’s a very special rare talent & I’m so pleased the world is starting to take notice.

That being said, I love watching your videos and I don't comment that often, but I have to give credit where it's due. I reacted the same way when I hear her sing ANY AND EVERYTHING.. she sung, “Bridge Over Troubled Waters.” I cried and recorded it to listen to it when I need to hear it.. she’s so anointed she grabs you and brings you inside of her soul.... man she is so like a breath of fresh air to music oh her musicality is beyond comprehension... Primarily because of this song (which is an original)! I learned about her from Scott Hoying's recommendation on a Superfruit video and have been hooked ever since. I have listened to this track no fewer than 300 times and it still gives me chills.
