Shasta's a wonderful bird all right. i do hope she's never unsupervised on the countertop. Need I point out that the coffemaker, even though it might not be on, is still dangerous to a parrot if left plugged in. Even when the switch is off, there's current in the wire if it's plugged into the wall. Also, coffee is not good for parrots, they're hyper enough, to say nothing a a broken glass carafe. Also, there's lots of stuff in a ladies purse that's peril for birds, lipstick among the worst

How many birds do you have and is that a cockatoo in the background? I love Amazons they are my Favorite. i foster one for a local rescue and i just adore them. I thought my house was loud with 4 birds LOL.

Shasta what a good gurrrrllll❤️. Gimme kiss 😘 we have an Amazon yellow nape Harley Girl. We adopted her gee, 10 years now? She’s about mid 20’s. It’s been an experience we’ve never dreamed possible with these fids. I was always used to Budgies who we will always love but experience with Harley, talking, singing etc. acting yes, like a 2to 3 yr old child is so true! My son agreed to take her if anything ever happens to us as we are in our early 70’s retired but lots of time to play.

Dian Hamadyk it is quite a large step going from budgies to an Amazon or any large bird. I started out with 2 cockatiels (i have 9 now),😀and then added 4 budgies , (9now,4 are babies i hand fed), 1English budgie, 4 Lovebirds, 1Senegal that is in LOVE with me 😀, and i rescued a 30 yr old Goffins this past Summer (she looked like a plucked chicken the day i brought her home) she(Mattie) is nearly in full feather now .Its not as noisy in my bird room as some might think. Either that or im just used to hearing them all singing, chattering, whistling, and some talking. Its time consuming, messy messy messy, and gets expensive. But i couldnt part with any of my babies.My birds, dogs(14) of them, and my cats(8) are the reason my feet hit the floor every day. Ive been hand feeding 2 tiel babies and i hand fed 8 budgie babies last Winter. My friend has a yellow naped Amazon like yours and ive fallen in birdy love with the little character. I want one soooo much !😀. I think rose breasted cockatoos are 1 of the prettiest birds ever too. Do you still have your Harley ?

You must really LOVE parrots to listen to the others scream! They screamed constantly through out the video! My mother in law has a blue fronted Amazon, she gives free lip piercings! No need to ask either!
