Your assessment of Axl's voice was spot-on. This wasn't the Axl of the 90's, by 2018 he had lost some of that natural ability that used to come so easily for him (I believe he was in his early 50's at the time of this video). And unfortunately, his voice in 2022 is but a mere strained croak of his glory days. I'm not poking fun at him, just watch some of his performances from this year and you'll see what I mean

@@voxsingingacademy I actually got front row because of the who (they played before gnr and I just HAD to see the who in the front row!) But it was actually a great concert being there. Watching the broadcast the band felt a little sloppy. The who on the other hand... Flawless! Pete Townshend actually made fun of me before the song "bargain". I was screaming "magic bus" after each break between songs. Then he said something like "the mystic magic bus dude is here..." And kept mimicking me screaming "magic bus". They didn't play magic bus, though... but it was awesome still! 🤣

yeah. he just didn't sound great on this particular song. he sounded fine on some of from that show though lol. also the rock in rio was in 2017 because they didn't do one in 2018.

Seen axl a few times since the gnr reunion. I saw them in 2017 and he struggled a little bit but sounded much better when i saw them in 2019. 2017 was a outdoor event and 2019 was indoor. Maybe a coincidence but could the outdoor events affect his vocal performance?

I saw them at the very beginning of their tour in 2016. He sounded 10000x better than he does in this video. Glad I saw them when I did. It was amazing

The Angels - No Exits live 1979 Latrobe. Doc had a wonderful voice for rock. Also Aussies best front row man.

As you’re a vocal coach, why do you think Axl sounds like Mickey Mouse in certain places. Is it fatigue on the chords or just bad singing?

Would love to see a reaction to the songs Injun Joe or Tasty by the band Good Rats. They are a great American rock band that got lost in the shuffle because they were full of ugly/hairy dudes. Killer talent though!

Why not react to his younger voice? Very unfair. 30 years of hard constant touring needs to be factored in also. This Vocal style is impossible for 99 percent of vocalists. He's a 1 in 900 trillion freak of nature

He sounds more like he did in 83....In 72 he would still use his lower voice more, soo great (Izzy's idea to have him use only high voice, too bad). Anyways, nowadays, to mee at least, he sounds more like he did in 83, 84.

His voice has seriously declined. Seen him in 2006 and 2010 in dublin and his voice was better than the use your illusion tour.
