Truly just the tip of the iceberg of his voice. Among rock singers he was one of the best. Added: I recommend “Say Hello 2 Heaven” and “Hunger Strike” (feat. Eddie Vedder) with another of his bands, Temple Of The Dog. He also made powerful recordings such as “Outshined” with Soundgarden and “Show Me How To Live” with Audioslave.

In my opinion, Chris had the finest voice of my generation. Legitimate four+ octave range, and he simply had the gift of making people feel his emotions via his voice and his lyrics. Please check out some more of Chris. He was the lead singer for Soundgarden (I suggest "Burden in my Hand," "Outshined", "Slaves and Bulldozers"), he sang with members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden for the band Temple of the Dog (I suggest "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Hunger Strike" (latter is a duet with Eddie Vedder), and he was the vocalist for Audioslave (Rage Against the Machine but with Chris as lead singer- I suggest "Cochise", "Like a Stone", "Show me How to Live"), and of course he also has solo work (try "When I'm Down", "Billie Jean"). You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Chris, I miss you.

You should do Temple of the Dog “Hunger Strike” next. It’s Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. You won’t be disappointed. I’m 46 years old and grew up in the 80-90’s and for me Chris had the best rock voice ever. I didn’t know Chris but when he died I definitely shed tears.

Everything he did was spectacular. Greatest singer to ever live. If you listen to slaves and bulldozers by Soundgarden you really hear his range and a completely different side of him. I'd also recommend his version of Stay With Me Baby

AOL Sessions: "Like a Stone" is a great version. Soundgarden's "Burden in My Hand" is a great track about Cornell's struggle with addiction that really showcases his vocals in the 90's.

If you love orchestra with hard rock then i urge you to check out Alter Bridge live at Royal Albert Hall. Full show was recorded with and orchestra. In particular check out the song Words Darker Than Their Wings. The lead singer Myles Kennedy is incredible and one of the moat iconic modern rock singers
