This is hands down the best version of this song.. I don't think it can be topped. He is amazing in the band Audioslave (check out "Like a Stone", "Cochise" or "Show Me How To Live").

We lost a legend when Chris passed away…. As a manic depressive who used to be on Ativan I can relate… his music has pulled so many fans through dark times… all of his music is written from his ❤️❤️

Chris Cornell's performance is powerful, his voice to second to none. Sinead's is heartbreaking and raw. For me, it's Hard to pick a favorite, I like them both.

The band he was in for Say Hello to Heaven was Temple of the Dog, in case you search it. Temple of the Dog also featured the future lead singer of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, singing alongside Chris Cornell in the anthemic rock ballad Hunger Strike. Highly recommend both!

Chris Cornell’s version haunting cause this was released pre post him committing suicide I think. So raw emotion in his version. I will say being a huge Prince fan and seeing Prince preform his/this song many times over live…NOTHIN COMPARES to Prince’s live version. Big ups to you for having the Purple Rain picture disc on you wall!

My ABSOLUTE fav Chris Cornell vocal is studio version of "Say Hello To Heaven" by Temple Of The Dog. UNBELIEVABLE vocals by Chris...the emotion is unmatched!! Also "Like A Dog" is great by them as well. 💥💥💥

Released in 1985 by "The Family" a Prince band and Prince wrote it. The Family began after the disintegration of The Time...and Yes, I had the cassette. 😁#RIP Chris and Prince 💜

Try the song "Slaves and Bulldozers". That's the last song Chris Cornell performed live with Soundgarden before his passing. It's one of the most powerful vocal recordings I remember. One of my favs ever.

There are tons of great Chris Cornell songs. One that I would suggest is Beyond the Wheel live from Germany in 1990. In his early days, Chris had crazy amazing range, and it is a great example of that.

His 2nd band is called Audioslave it's the guys from Rage Against the Machine but with Cornell as lead singer, their song Cochise is worth a listen his scream in that some is legendary. Soundgarden Slaves and Bulldozers, and Temple of the Dog Say Hello to Heaven are also big showcases of his voice.
