You commented about the prolink suspension in your original chain video. You said something about the. Gain being tensioned when your sitting on it. But you said it as if you have described how to deal with this somewhere in your vids. Can you direct md me to that please. I have the euro 5 22 model and I've been tensioning my chain whilst it's just on the centre stand 15-25 mm of movement as in the spec. But your comment threw me. Didn't know anything about that.

A simple experiment for you is to tension the chain how you think on the stand then take it off the stand with someone then sitting on the bike you will then see the chain is tight. It's all about the pivot axis angle and suspension movement. It's best to set the chain on the stand a little looser than you think and check tension with weight on the bike and off stand as that's how it's ridden. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the Information, Sinnis are useless at best, but the bike itself is ok now after changing out every corroded nut and bolt its growing on me.

At the moment the Euro5 only has the standard 13F 50R 136 link chain available. I would definitely recommend the chain is changed for gold type HD o ring type.

Can you tell the procedure to change the front and rear sprockets too please. And which sprockets will be fine for the bike?

Is it not best practice to change the sprockets with a new chain?

The sprockets have only done 811 Miles and had no wear so not an issue.

I got one for mine and it took me 3 hours to get the clip back on as i couldn't squash the plate enough to get it back on .. absolute nightmare .. Considering you had a cut in video at same point .. i tike it .. you struggled too ?

No that was just shear luck sadly I am very practiced, this was because I used some footage from the first video and taped some on the end. The secret is to press and hold and put the first end on then quickly push in place.

Hi David you can get them from Chinese motorcycle parts online if I remember correctly much cheaper than direct from Sinnis

Can anyone tell me where I can get a range of front sprockets for the Euro 5 (liquid cooled) model. Are they the same as another make? I want to put add a tooth to the front when I replace my chain.

If you add a tooth you have to add two links to the chain to compensate or it will run too tight. Also adding a tooth on the front '16' teeth will make top gear almost redundant as the ratio to the rear sprocket will be off.

@@silktvPDR1 Hi... I'm quite au fait with changing sprocket and the effect thereof, it's just the "brand" of sprocket I'm wondering about. Generally speaking the same fitment sprockets are fitted to many different bikes but I'm struggling to find the correct one. The task is made harder as most eBay sprockets advertised are for the older, air cooled, model.

For what it's worth. My bike has not even done 200 miles and the original cheap Chinese chain has stretched beyond belief. It's got to go and I'd like to upgrade the sprocket at the same time.
