Staying even with Pog was a huge victory and sets him up for the big mountains. 2. Neither you nor I can speak for “most fans,” but everyone I know knows that this is a three week race and appreciates the way it plays out over time. All of the tactical geniuses have been out in force on social media today accusing Jonas of being “anti ciclismo” whatever that means. Why on earth would he ride flat out with Pog and Remco on a stage like this only to let them attack him further down the road? He went 90kms on Tratnick’s bike and he’s supposed to indulge Pog and Remco along the way!?😂 Pog quoted saying he thinks Jonas is afraid of him is EXACTLY what Jonas wants. UAE showed what a basket case they are re. team cohesion today despite being stacked with studs throughout. Yates is basically the only one who seems to understand what it means to domestique. Almeida and Ayuso have been next to useless so far. Once again, the “co-captain” (now we’re up to 4, apparently) strategy shows itself as totally unbelievable. Pog will always be the only one to follow on UAE and Jonas will always focus on him. Remco is not a factor (nor is his team) unless he can show something different in the high mountains than the shambolic Vuelta he put in last year, and Rog is never going to match Pog and Jonas from here on out. It’s Pog and Jonas and that’s the only GC fight there is. Clearly Pog is frustrated and knows Jonas is only going to get better from here. We’ve got a rest day and 6 stages until it’s mountains galore in week 3. Pog does not want this. Fantastic TdF so far! 😘

@@davidbernardsantana8976my jaw dropped. But also, Remco loves the drama and he's clearly been annoyed with Jonas for days. Jonas isn't acknowledging Remco (smart), the media is giving the Jonas post-crash/comeback storyline so much attention (valid/out of Jonas' control) and it's making Remco's blood boil. Remco is acting like he and Tadej are BFFs (strange, but fine -- I call it the Remco-Tadej bromance) and he's strategizing with Tadej against Jonas. My hot take. 🍿
