Bhai Ram Singh first appears in records as one of the students of the Lahore School of Carpentry established in 1874 through private subscription. Ram Singh, already an accomplished and acknowledged carpenter, began to develop his conceptual and intellectual capacities and soon outgrew his crafts-training to achieve a deeper understanding of other arts and architecture. Ram Singh transferred his inimitable mastery of the craft of wood-carving to brickwork and he was the greatest Indian architect of The British Raj and is certainly the unrivalled Master of Sikh Architecture.
Sir Ganga Ram was an Indian civil engineer and architect. His extensive contributions to the urban fabric of Lahore are remembered. He was a promising agriculturist, too and a best-known philanthropist.

I literally cried seeing my great grandfather's Sardar Ram Bahadur Singh 's achievements being acknowledged.Thank you so much. We are few of his family members alive in Kolkata. My father used to tell us about him broken heartedly that his work didn't get recognized.

The achievements of these brilliant personalities should be a part of the curriculum of Engineering and architecture colleges of Punjab, atleast. Some sort of befitting memorials also need to erected in their honour. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

Punjabian de piare shehran Lahaur te Amritsar nu chaar chann laun walian shakhsiatan ,jinah da charhde punjab vich koi yaad nahi nam nahi.sade lok inne ahsaan framosh, jinah lokan jindgi nu saah den wale te insaniat de kalamai usaaru husan piar bhare jazbaat nu sakaar keeta unah rab varge darveshan da koi nam thikana nahi.Siasi te mazhabi , insaniat te insani jazbe nu litarhan wale leadran dian kabran te mele lagde han. Happy Eid Saba ji🌺 Finally I could watch your 2nd video which is very interesting. Both personalities being Indians have been forgotten in India. Frankly speaking I have never heard their names except that there is one Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi (where I belong to). Ram Singh name and his wonderful work is not known to most of the Indians. Thank you Lahorians that you people have still kept their names alive. We should not forget our ancestors good work because they're part of our history. I was born Sir Ganga Ram Hospital lahore kindky make a film about Galub Davi Hospital lahore. Janki Davi Hospital lahore. Dhali gate Hospital landa bazar lahore,(coupel of years ago its demoliched by land mafia). Sir Carren railway Hospital lahore. There are hundert of small dispansaryes already demoliched what a pity.
