Fans have been getting their hopes up about challenging for the title next season. Ratcliffe has put the kybosh on that because this partial takeover doesn't give Utd the funds to do that. So it's going to be more years of disappointment and hopefully it comes good eventually.

Even brailsford is more focused on football nowadays. Besides even at Nice, they have started preforming now. They made a few mistakes in the start, but things have been improving a lot recently. They unearthed a great coach in Farioli. He was poached from De zerbi's backroom staff. He was their goalkeeping coach. The people at ineos used data science to shortlist him and then met him personally to pick him out as their ideal candidate. There are a lot of positives to be seen here. Ratcliffe is a fan who wants to leave behind a legacy. Few things offer as big an opportunity as he has at united. He can be the man who saved united and the fans will remember him forever if he manages to steer us to success again. He has shown remarkable urgency in getting started with the changes he feels are needed at the club. At united, we don't need a sugar daddy like the Shieks or Boehly. We just need someone who can manage a huge organization effectively. A man who built up his entire wealth from scratch and becane the wealthiest man in the country is possibly the best we could hope for. I'm not saying that he is guaranteed success, but atleast his heart seems to be in the right place and that is more than what we've had for almost 2 decades now.

The stadium situation is the most exciting as a Utd fan. If they can (and based on what he says and the reports coming out all of this is entirely feasible): - build a new 100k stadium next door - downsize Old Trafford for the youth team, museum and community asset - new megastore that is actually decent (current one is awful) - new industrial level boozer that isn’t a crush - new tram stops/roads (council to support with this) - general rearrangement of statues and fan parks etc on campus Then I may never leave that postcode area again. I would need to remortgage my house I would be spending so much time and money on the club! It would make all the horrid luck and treatment the club has received from the glazers over the years worthwhile.

I dont think anyone expects Liverpool or City to stand still however there will more than likely be a drop off once Pep and Klopp go as there both almost impossible to follow plus every clubs successful period goes in cycles the key is making sure that you don’t drop off for too long like Liverpool, Arsenal and United in the past. SJR seems to have identified and put things in place to fix the most glaring areas so it looks promising but we will have to wait and see.
