Die beiden bislang weltweit einzigen BMW K1600GT - Swing`s
im Einsatz.
Nachtrag 2018 : MIttlerweile fährt eine rote im Südwesten Deutschlands sowie eine in Schweden und eine in Kanada... die sechste soll wohl im Laufe des Jahres fertig werden.
Fazit - verrückte Ideen finden verrückte Nachahmer.

Eu já perdi as vezes de quantas vezes já assisti esse vídeo. Pena que aqui no Brasil ainda não valorizam o uso do SIDECAR. E esse de alto desempenho é maravilhoso!!!

Existem também alguns países na Europa onde esses veículos de 3 rodas não são permitidos. Muito triste. Para variar, você pode pesquisar no meu canal por "SWING" - há mais alguns vídeos por vir. Saudações ao Brasil!

I have a 1977 BMW R100s. Would the heads and cylinders interfere with the lean and hit the sidecar frame? Very very interesting concept, I like it very much and as I am 60, a side car is becoming more attractive, especially with a leg and hip issue.

My insubstantial opinion: it is important to have a very good brake on the bike - so ABS. The R100 is a nice motorcycle, but actually too old for such an investment. Where are you from ?

Ist ja ganz schön, aber warum muss man während der Fahrt immer den rechten Fuss auf das Chassie vom Seitenwagen stellen. Läuft das nicht stabil? Der Kurvenspeed wirkt auch nicht so üppig und in Rechtskurven ist doch das Boot im weg um ordentlich anzugasen. Mal sehen wann mir mal eines begegnet

Nice video! I also plan to install swing on my K1600GTL. One question. at 6:40 K1600 seems to have back gear? Current model has one, but at that time not available yet. Are there any special part for back gear on K1600?

สุดยอดมากเลยครับ ขอเสริมหน่อยนะครับ คนนั่งข้างเวลาเข้าโค้งต้องเอียงตัวไปตามโค้งด้วยครับจะช่วยเรื่องจุดศูนย์ถ่วงได้ดีขึ้นเวลาเข้าโค้งจะเข้าได้ดีกว่าเดิมมากเลยครับ

Hallo, Kuba… wow - das ist weit weg! Diese Seitenwagen werden in Deutschland produziert. Am besten eignet sich eine BMW GS dafür. Es gibt eine sehr informative Seite des Herstellers - leider nur auf deutsch aber mit. Vielen Bildern Www.Kalich.de Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit den Seitenwagen als Bausatz zu bekommen. Viel Erfolg

Gratuliere zu diesen echt netten Bikes. Das sind die perfekten Kombinationen für extrem lange Strecken. Abgesehen von der Technik stimmt hier auch die Optik, was man halt nicht von jedem Gespann behaupten kann. Na ja, Geschmack ist halt individuell. Jetzt aber mal etwas zu dieser Fahrt im Film. Bei 4:05" habe ich meinen Augen kaum trauen können. Na ja, auf KZfaq bekommt man ja mittlerweile eine Menge Schwachsinn zu sehen, aber das hat Chance in die Top-10 zu kommen. Nur weil man so eine Rarität fährt, heisst das nicht, dass alle anderen Verkehrsteilnehmer bremsen, anhalten oder aus Ehrfurcht ausweichen, nur weil man auf die Strasse will. Ganz ehrlich: .... Wer von einem Platz über einen Gehweg auf die Strasse fährt, und so mit dem Bike, der Gruppe und den Kameras beschäftigt ist, dass man es nicht einmal nötig erachtet auch nur mal ein wenig nach links zu blinzeln, und dann noch trotz Hupen von hinten sich nicht einmal umdreht oder bremst, der sollte wirklich besser Bus und Bahn fahren. Hätte der nette OPEL-Fahrer nämlich keinen Platz zum Ausweichen gehabt, dann hätte eine der Raritäten nämlich eine längere Zwangspause in der Werkstatt gehabt. Beim nächsten Trip also besser Augen auf und mal den Kopf drehen, auch wenn es manchen schwerfällt. Dafür hat der Mensch nämlich ein "Scharnier" am Kopf, damit man diesen auch mal dreht. Bei Bikers kann so etwas lebensrettend sein.

Why does the rider put his right foot down on the sidecar while in motion at some points in the video? Is this required to keep the rig from lifting?

+garethw001 No, the rig can`t lift up. Never !!! It`s fixed with axle bearings.Sometimes you can call it : comfortableness

I would imagine that it all depends on the speed of impact. Very few items on our planet are "bang proof" although any deaf folk are missing out on the loud sounds.

Ja, Spurbreite entspricht dann fast einem 7,5 Tonner. Mal im Ernst: ... uneinsehbare Kurven fährt man tendenziell vorsichtiger an - ggfs auch dann mit weniger Schräglage und langsamer. Du kommst aber überall durch wo auch ein Kleinwagen durchkommt.

That depends on whether the motorcycle has rear seat space and pillion pegs. Not all motorcycles do. Further, the engine must generate sufficient HP to propel three people. Some rigid (non leaner type) sidecars have the capacity to take two passengers, so such an outfit can take four in all. www.dmcsidecars.com/sidecars/kenna-double/

In Rechtskurven sieht das schon sehr gewöhnungsbedurftig aus. Sollte sich der Bootsinsasse nicht auch wenifstens ein bisschen zur Kurveninneren Seite neigen?

Wo wohnst du ? Bist zur Probefahrt eingeladen. Und nein, der bootsinsasse kann sich ganz gemütlich die Landschaft ansehen. Eine wie auch immer geartete Mitwirkung ist nicht nötig.

Doug Fitch if they are the same as a rigid set up, there’s a Sidecar brake pedal on the connector...

Eigentlich eine nette Idee, so ein Swing. Aber bei Minute 2:56 sieht man genau wieso ich mir so einen nicht zulegen würde. Bei einer Linkskurve hängt man als Fahrer voll im Gegenverkehr :(

Doğru dönüş çok iyi gidiyor çünkü düşemezsiniz, sadece motosikleti sınırlayıcıya atarsınız. Sol virajlarda tüm takım çok geniş hale gelir - karşıdan gelen trafikte ve virajlarda biraz daha savunmacı sürmeniz gerekir.
