Yeonjun recorded the barking you hear in Cat and Dog. I love the song in all it’s creations. The line ‘“Let’s play forever, I just wanna be your dog” makes me remember the best feelings of falling in love

I don't think it is that MOA's don't like Cat and Dog. I think it is because it can be a bit overwhelming/weird as an introduction because of the lyrics, since even though it is SUPER cute, hearing them talking about wanting to be a pet is an awkward introduction for some people. LOL 😆 bighit really said let's make a song about young/puppy love and make it heavy on the puppies. Hahaha It is such a fun song though, and whenever they've performed it in the US, everyone would bark along. It is such an iconic song.

I don't know why people tried to put you off Cat & Dog, it's a bop and one of my favs. There is a clip somewhere, on a Bangtan Bomb I think, of JHope and Tae watching TxT from the green room and dancing around to Cat & Dog. Soooooo cute.💜

Cat & Dog is actually a bop, a very creative bop :) and choreo is really good, you should check out C&D and Crown dance practice- one of my fav kpop choreos of all time :) They also released on Spotify Our Summer Acoustic mix, I recommend it even more than original:)

Txt had a debut showcase in 6 US cities with the Dream Chapter: Star. The entire showcase is covered in One Dream TXT on their youtube content channel. Our Summer was filmed during that time. In fact Star is the only txt album where there is some kind of official mv for all their songs. Also Cat & Dog is just about puppy love but many took it too literally. It goes so hard and it's such a bop and the coolest thing for me is how Good Boy Gone Bad references C&D when they say "My tail wagged at you, that's my past". I just love the way txt's songs connect and have continuity.

I also think you might like the version of Run Away they did for Seoul Music Discovery as they performed it with a traditional Korean orchestra. As for song recommendations it might be easier for you to go in order of release from the beginning that way you know you won’t miss out on anything (especially as now you’ve listened to all songs apart from Nap of a Star from their debut album) - you might also then be able to get a feel of the narrative they tell through each album. Whatever works for you though!

I’m not sure if you are wanting to check out any of their Japanese discography yet but I think vocally it is some of their best. I recommend ‘Ring’ (which has a performance with beautiful choreography too kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rq1mZ9l10d2ziWw.html&ab_channel=eoonation) and ‘Hitori No Yoru.’

Honestly I think Yeonjun is in my top 5 dancers in k-pop, he really tells the story with his facial expressions. His Artist of the Month solo on Studio Choom is just great, you might like to check that out too, even if it's just for yourself =)

The acoustic version of Our Summer is also amazing, I find I listen to that more than the original. They have a lot of good performances of some of my personal favorite songs that weren’t title tracks. Their Studio Choom Be Original performance of New Rules (just to watch since they blocked your other one)…there are other performances of it though and any of their Fairy or Shampoo performances.

TXT has a cat and a dog line! Cats: Taehyun and Yeonjun Dogs: Soobin, Hueningkai, and Beomgyu For like actual cats over dog in terms of preference. Kai has said he wants to own a siamese cat. Taehyun’s family owns a cat named Hobak but he’s stated he is allergic to them. I believe the rest of the members have stated they want to own dogs later. Other pets the members have/currently owned Taehyun had a pet snake but he gave it up since he couldn’t take care of it properly with their schedule. Soobin currently owns a hedgehog named Odi (the 6th member of TXT) that lives in the dorm with them Beomgyu has a pet parrot named Toto back home

When TXT debuted in March 2019, MNET sponsored their reality show/U.S. showcase called One Dream (May 2019). They went to NYC/Chicago/Orlando/Atlanta/Dallas/Los Angeles. They met BTS in Chicago, went to their concert and did additional filming there. They also did extensive media in LA and performed at the Wango Tango festival. I'm not sure if the episodes survived on KZfaq or Weverse, but you can check. If they did survive, this might be something to put on your Patreon if you continue with your TXT journey. Personally, I love this very early TXT, they were extremely young but you'll get insight into their personalities and how they were "back then".

As I got more and more into them, however, I began to have a different perspective on the song. Is it weird? Yes. Is is corny? Yes! Is it DANG FUN?? YES! Also, you are absolutely 100% right. Cat & Dog is SOOO much fun to see with a live audience. It's ABSOLUTELY a fan favorite because it's just so ridiculous. Not all songs have to be sexy and romantic! Usually cat & dog is not liked by many people in their first listen because the lyrics are difficult to interpret. From my understanding they want their lover to love them like they love their pets (if that makes any sense). It's just an unusual comparison and that's why it is difficult for people to like it maybe.

I'm always so so happy when you upload a txt reaction. I was never kidding and/or exagerating when I commented they have one of the strongest and more consistent discographies of the recent years.
