But if that is not the case I'm still super excited for an album full of Kyungsoo incredible vocal and hope for these two collab in the future.

most of the songs are based off stories from a fairy tale: growl, wolf, let out the beast - all have a beauty and the beast theme, wolf's korean title is also "beauty and the beast" black pearl - pirate like adventure story baby don't cry - based off the little mermaid, and korean title of song is "mermaid's tears" don't go - korean title is "butterfly girl", and butterflies also represent exo-l's peterpan - neverland, wendy, you name it

i really think kyungsoo's adlibs contributed a lot of why this album was a hit!

Sehun and Kai were around 18 - 19 when they debuted so their voices have changed a lot since then! I’m so proud of them both 😭 Back then Sehun only had a few seconds of lines in the entire album and Kai only had really small parts but look at them both shine now 🥺 Edit: you probably heard a snippet of let out the beast since xiumin performed it on xiuweet time!! 🥰

Peterpan is a really sweet song with a special place in the heart of exols! I remember when exo members had dating news (especially chen's marriage), supportive fans would say "our peterpan has found his wendy, and we're tinkerbell". (Since i think in the fairytale, tinkerbell gets jealous at peter pan for spending so much time with Wendy, but at the end of the day still loves Peter Pan and wants him to be happy) Also, the harmonies in the second half of the song are amazing and I think were an early taste of what exo's music currently is, where the constant harmonies and layers are a staple of their music.

to this day Baby Dont Cry is my favorite exo song ever. in the radio show performance of that song, Kyungsoo sounded so amazing. I think he hit his first SUPPORTED Bb4 note there.

I think the first video confused some of Kai’s and Sehun’s parts. And I completely agree with you, Kai has improved A LOT. Honestly I’ve always loved his tone but during 2013-2014 the difference of his vocal abilities and the main vocals’ was to me very obvious. But look where he is now. Sehun, too. He started by barely having lines, to having long full lines in Don’t Fight The Feeling album. However, EXO as a group has always had top notch vocals since debut (at least for the main vocals), esp in idol industry. Up to 2012 I never knew K-Pop idols could sing R&B like that (What is Love is a superior song) and I used to follow practically all male idol groups that debut before 2012 so I guess that’s saying something… Baby Don’t Cry and Growl were the songs that first got me interested in EXO’s music. And the Open Arms and Baby Don’t Cry performance in Song For You was THAT performance that made me admit I was a fan of theirs. Honestly this album in general wasn’t extremely interesting to me and very poppy for EXO’s standard but it was still the album that got them their 1st million sales so I gotta respect that lol. Since I love weird chords and funky music some of my top albums are The War and Don’t Mess Up My Tempo but EXO’s albums starting from 2015 was always excellent. Can’t wait for you to react to them!

I loved this album. Still my fave out of everything they released. And "Don't Go" is legit my fave EXO song of all time. It just hits different.

Well Chen's already found his lady and Im here until the day they all find their love in life. I want them to be happy, like the happiest. Kyungsoo can beatbox , there were times where he was beatboxing and Chanyeol was raping on it. For me these are some evergreen EXO songs and like Present EXO is more musically developed than before but still for me not even today's EXO can cover this Evergreen Album's vibe, these songs are really gold and still amazing after 9 years.

This is one of my favourite albums ever!! There is no a song to skip on here it's so beautiful, and by the way D.O can do beatbox, in the beginning of exo he used to do some beatbox and then chanyeol was rapping on it but later on he didn't do that (I don't know what happened to him but i got the feeling that he closed himself by the time passing on, though lately after he finished military he came more free and open again, and for example see how free he was on the cover they did with girls generation DJ makes us falling in love tonight he was really free there on the performance, and now with don't fight the feeling he is also really open and more enjoying it all)

and yes, the memebrs growth is all so noticeable, ESPECIALLY kai! he had a lot of antis or doubters when his solo was announced - saying shit like "whos gonna sing?" ... but if anybody had been listening to exo music the past years, any exol could tell that he had grown so much and his voice was truly beautiful.

Baby don't cry is song written based on KAI's dance. The producers of BDC also wrote "With Baby Don't Cry, we watched the video first and then wrote the song. Typically a song comes out first and then a dance routine is constructed, but this time I watched a clip of Kai dancing and used that as a background to write the song."

I swear i can't hold my tears when watching you react to this album. This brings me memories when i started to stan em back then in 2011 when they released pre debut song. That time i was 11 years old. When they debut i was 12 yo and now i'm 22! God i feels like it just yesterday they debuted and stanning exo is the best decision i've ever made in my life. This album reminds me of OT12. I swear to god this album was the first journey they made after people called em Trash group in SM back then. Now look at em. They slayed every performances, every song, being titled as nation pick. I'm proud of em. Being stanning exo for 9 years now. I will and forever support exo. Some day Peter Pan will find his Wendy and tinkerbell will always stay by Peter pans side even from afar to support them. And I think that’s actually really cute. This is probably one of my favourite EXO albums and all time albums. The songs have a very fairytale theme and are quite cutesy.

'Kiss me Girl' in XOXO is Kyungsoo. 😊 You should watch the live concert version of Baby Don't Cry.... Also, 365 Studio version felt empty without Kyungsoo's 'owoo, owoo' adlibs. These songs really brings me back to the good times when EXO is still complete. And they were only complete for this album! Like promoting as 12 in SK. I was lucky enough to stan them when they were still complete, late 2013 (and then gave me my first heartbreak months after stanning them).
