Wheww, it's been a while since my last upload hasn't it? For some reason, my voice still feels icky and such, but I decided I really needed to do something. So, (after attempted many other songs) I finally settled on this one. The animation is absolutely beautiful and I really have a thing for these fairytale-type songs. It's been a while since I've seen one about mirrored worlds.

For those who didn't know there's a Len version called Mirror's Magic. In the song its revealed that Len was a lonely prince who everyone hated. But then a stranger came with a mirror and showed him his mirror self (Rin) had all the happiness. So he took her happiness and became loved by his people. Then the stranger shows up again with the mirror and he saw his mirror self became lonely and sad. He wanted to make her happy so he put on a robe and pretended to be a magician. He granted all her wishes by giving away his happiness and things back to her.

I just realised something. in mirror magic (lens version of the song) he forgets about rin until the mirror appears before him maybe that's because at the end when he asks her to always remember him she does and because everything is opposite in the other side of the mirror that's why he forgets her and is why she is the only person sitting in front of the mirror at the start of this song waiting for him. but when in his version he sees her waiting on this side of the mirror in her poor state he remembers her and so it makes her forget about him since one side is the opposite to the other, so that is why she is sitting there and all her dreams are her past memories when he granted her wishes the last time and so it just keeps going in a never ending cycle.

C. Sky won't that mean that when Len incited a war, the war didn't last too long and Rin's status as a princess also didn't last? Won't that mean that there worlds still remained the same, with Len being happy and Rin being sad, but with differences? I can't imagine a war not changing something in a world.

This song made me cry so hard. three years ago I moved to another school and didn't have many friends but one boy was always really nice. He was always there for me when I needed it and he could always make me laugh.he had no idea how much he meant to me. He moved away recently and I miss him like crazy. we've been talking online but I haven't seen him in about half a year and wish I had told him how much I care when I had the chance. Just a little theory of mine: Rin is a lonely girl hiding from a war in an old house. One day, she find the mirror in the back. Instead of her own reflection, she sees the reflection of a boy (Len) who claims to be a magician who can grant countless wishes. Soon, the two children become friends, even though they only see each other in the mirror. Rin is happy she is no longer alone, with Len as her friend and her world of isolation gone. First, she wishes that she could be cured of her illness, so she can walk again, and Len complies. She calls him a generous magician due to the lack of hesitance he shows in granting her wishes. After that, she asks the war raging in her world to be over (if you missed this, see 2:14 to 2:18). Then, she asks to become a princess with a beautiful castle, planning every detail. Len happily grants her wish. Like that, she got everything she wanted. But she was missing one thing: Len, and the happiness she shared we him, so she desperately wished that he would stay with her. But then one day, Len must leave back to his reality and they must part. The magic fades, and Rin’s dreams become, once more, dreams. She is distraught as Len disappears from the mirror. It shatters, because, while their fates were intertwined, they were not meant to cross paths. The image of Len haunts Rin’s memory, the happiness she once felt gone. But they both know, they live on in each other’s memory, forever together, but apart at one time. Rin puts the mirror back together, hoping to see Len one more time. Then, for only a moment, he appears, before truly leaving, the joy they shared fading into distant memories.

What if. . . when she wished to be a princess The Daughter of Evil came to be? When she became a princess, the magician granted her wish to be her friend as well, and became her brother? He wanted to always be by her side and her wishes lasted for a year? After that year was up the magician "died"/had to go and Rin's "regret message" was her saying that she would wait for him to reappear? Then everything was set in reverse and they didn't remember it how it happened? What if they went back in time to the day because the magician didn't want her to remember what happened? And then many years later, they both died and ended being "reborn"/made into vocaloids as twins. and the magician was finally able to grant her last wish. I don't know if what I said made sense at all.

I think what you're saying is true for most of the len/rin reflection songs, though for this particular story, len is actually a separate entity in a different world who manipulates rin to benefit himself (check out "mirror magic") BUTTT.... then again. maybe there's still that underlying meaning, hm? that you can't make yourself 100% happy with ever decision, gotta learn to compromise and satisfy. in that case len and rin would still be the same person--- \AH i'm confused now xD!

"Because nothing lasts forever." Hmmm.... Ah of course, MEMORIES. They could* last forever, because they can ( but not necessarily will) be inherited. Thats why ppl luv pictures so much isnt it, we age and change but a photo might* remain the same. Of course our "forever" is relative and just means "as long as we last ourselves", since no matter how much an image or thought in passed on, not even humankind will be around forever. But wtf am i typing this again ?? ^^ Sry.

i just realized a small detail about this song, after Rin got everything, she remained unhappy because she lost Len, whereas Len was now happy he was able to give Rin a better life. Their situation is still reversed

Now that I think on it, I don't think the reason I cry is actually the song itself. Though it certainly helps, that's not the sole reason. I have a crush on pretty much my best friend in the world, and, just being herself, she's made me so much better as a person and created a way for my dreams to finally come true. More often than not, I feel like Rin in this song despite the fact that I'm male, being so changed by her and liking her as much as I do. And to have her taken from me like that would be just the most horrible thing that could possibly happen, ever. So thank you, so much, for putting my exact feelings into song lyrics.

I can relate to this song. In so many ways. 1.) I can't walk since my legs are broken from the same disease 2.) I actually need a friend since I am lonely.. 3.) I always had a dream to have a castle of millions of halls when I was 4-9.
