Christmas is almost here & one recipe you have to get right in a Nigerian Household is Nigerian Fried Rice! I watched my mom make fried rice like this for events (she did catering ) and it never fails. I took over the Fried Rice ministry as soon as I could cook and it's one of my special recipes. Hmm... Sisi Yemmie, i yaf meet you well. I used this ya recipe to form for all my neighbours this Christmas o that even man sef sabi cook, as it was only I and my dad that were at home. The rice was making correct sense sha. I even carried some to my 'friend-that-is-a-girl's' house. Gbege just happened. The rice had turned sour. She just manage to shak my head small and said it was very sweet. The one that vexed me ehn was this one, Imagine rice that ME MySELF cooked by myself, my Pops just went to warm the rice. if you see the kain water wey im add for the rice. (I mean, Who does that??!! Fried rice fa!) I wanted to explode, but he is my Dad nah. Unless I don't want to sleep in that house again. Anyways, Thanks Sisi Yemmz! Your recipes have been my Cookery 101. I've even graduated to 201. Thumbs up. P.S. It haf do. I've 'clicked on the Like button and I've subscribed' By the way, Sisi Yemmz, how do you prevent food from turning sour when you pack it?

I usually leave my rice to cool in a strainer instead of in the pot cos I noticed it sometimes continues cooking and gets overdone, dats after boiling in stock o Great video as usual babe!

I think this way is best where you keep the rice separate from vegetable. The one pot methods just leave the rice to mushy, no matter how many times I wash or parboil the rice. So, yep, this way is best.

My friend will only cook/eat it with prawns, apparently where she comes from you either use prawns or fish, never meat. As a fish lover I couldn't agree more, am intending to try cooking this recipe tomorrow but with chicken and prawns.

Lol yum! Did you steam, sauté or fry the liver before adding to fried rice. Was the liver seasoned and with what. I love liver very much. As in tight/ dry stew with bread or seasoned coated with flour and shallow fried, sauté huge onion rings a little smear of mayo in good bread?!!! Yum!
