I gotta say that DuPont commercial triggered me . The chemical company that’s was responsible for all those cancer related deaths across America and most likely around the world.

Absolutely. We can debate all day long about Woody Allen, the man, but he's undeniably a great director and writer. Chaz's character in this movie was brilliant.

Kevin Smith must love hearing his name being paired with Quentin Tarantino. And I can't believe I've never seen Imaginary Crimes play anywhere, ever.

As I have always said about Kevin Smith, he would have been directed B grade Westerns at Monogram if he started in the 1940's.

Jon Seda would eventually end up in Homicide as a detective and Lauren Velez would end up as the Lieutenant on Dexter.

There is absolutely nothing disappointing about that movie. It's one of the few that I consider perfect for what it was.

@@dannykent6190 I rewatched it a few years ago and the editing is a mess. You can tell that it was probably a 4-hour assembly they cut down to it's current running time. The film needed to be longer and have a different pace.
@dannykent6190

@@Theomite I've watched it many times, including recently. I think it's cut perfectly. There's no unnecessary downtime. Perfect balance between mystery and comedy. Almost seemless transitions. Induces nostalgia for an era of time I was never part of. Quick, clever writing... I place it up there with anything by Sorkin.

@@dannykent6190 It tries to juggle too many substories without diverting too much from the A plot which means too many cutaways to slivers of other scenes.

Everything they say about Radioland Murders is spot on but I still enjoyed it. Its an overly energetic romp that’s got more excitement than it knows what to do with but also such childlike innocence and humor with a love for the magic of radio and the times it dominated nightly entertainment (which I incidentally do as well and love movie centered around radio though it’s well before my time) that it wins me over. I can totally understand someone hating it for the reasons they point out but I like it almost in spite of myself. Is it Bullets Over Broadway, one of the best comedies by one of the best comedy writers in film history? No, not even close(and it’s a brutal twist of fate that had it going up against it) but it’s fun escapism that’s innocence has grown since, cuz at this point, 94 is practically as much the good ol’ days as the 40’s was for the creators of it. Kevin Smith on the other hand I’ve never thought has anything that remotely indicates talent... But sometimes there’s a man, and I’m talking about The Dude and Keven Smith here, sometimes there’s a man, well, he’s the man for his time and place, he fits right in there, and that’s The Dude and Kevin Smith in(early 90’s) Los Angeles
