Crimes and Misdemeanors is my favorite Woody Allen film. When one first sees it, he thinks Judah is being cruel to the mistress. But the more times one sees it, you realize she is imbalanced and delusional to the point that you completely understand what Judah did. He's still loathesome, but one can still understand.
