English translation of "Vilja sangen" Vilja, oh Vilja, my dream and my longing, smile to me in the meeting and catch me in your arms. Vilja, oh Vilja, my joy and my happiness the depths of the forest radiate with you. Vilja, oh Vilja, my dream and my longing, smile to me in the meeting and catch me in your arms. Vilja, oh Vilja, my joy and my happiness the depths of the forest radiate with you. The forest nymph reached out her hand to him and laughed and led him into her secret dwelling there he just forgot to rest his chest in the jubilation of lovemaking, in the lust of lovemaking Vilja, oh Vilja, my dream and my longing, smile to me in the meeting and catch me in your arms. Vilja, oh Vilja, my joy and my happiness the depths of the forest radiate with you.

17 years old Siss, seemed to have led a world-wind teenage without handing herself over entirely to the pop music industry. She was a conservative angel in those days, before she shed that image with her golden locks for a dark prison cut and drab garb and a more folk & faith repertoire though still sprinkled through with some classical pieces. A few years after doing the Titanic score when asked if she'd considered a career in opera, was frank in her reply that such a career involved a discipline & commitment that she was unprepared to follow or make. Too many great voices in opera. Better to reserve a few for popular music.

Is this a POSITIVE or NEGATIVE comment -- Because I can't tell what your point is. At 18, she told a Hollywood music producer (effectively) that she didn't wish to be put into a box by the "American Music Machine". I would guess that in her 20's, she ALSO didn't wish to be put into the box of "the conservative, sweet, blond-tressed angel". She wanted to be herself (which was yet to develop and mature) -- the one -and-only, the incomparable Sissel !!!! By the time she reached her 30's, she had also shed her " dark prison cut and drab garb look". She exchanged THAT for a VERY beautiful, glamorous, gracious, continental look - while still retaining the classic "Sissel Modesty and Humility". She has continued up to today to be a complete, VERY feminine, LADY !! She has also continued (up until today) with her signature, VERY diverse repertoire. Perhaps she felt, "why be a second-rate opera singer" - when she could become a world-class, one-of-a kind, matchless performer like she became and is today.

The song is Hungarian operette but Hungarians sing it more emotionally-which adds to elevating the mood - But not the quality...as Sissel proved here!

Could someone please confirm what were the songs sung at the start?

A very good opera singer can't do what Sissel does, but she does what others do in opera. That's the difference.

So sorry I can’t say that I think too much of tenants that are very full of their selves. This singer is not required for Sissel to overpowering. Sissel is a wonderful senior I think someone more like a ballad singer with a nice voice with suit.❤❤❤❤❤❤
