She is from my home town Bergen, Norway. It`s known for having famous singers, and composers. As for Sissel, she is is the best selling artist in Norway. She has sold in total 10 million records in a country of 5 million.. That`s incredible. It`s as if an artist sold 600 million in the U.S.

The world did not know what it had with Sissel. The most perfect voice ever was in this young lady's soul. I am always amazed at every age; she never strains to hit excellent, flawless high notes. She is a pure joy to listen to.

Sissel is an angel. I remember this. She had flu when on stage. She couldn't say 1 word earlier that day... Fever 39°C and sick. She saved her voice to this moment. Neil later said in an interview that there has been only one singer that has given him goosbumps and chills when they sing this song. That person was Barbra Streisand, but after this he said "after this night, a sick Sissel is an angel and blow everyone away with her voice. BS go home.... "

Interesting. Sissel is a trooper in the entertainment business. There are other super performances she has put in when sick. (Two of them on KZfaq). She will try not to let an audience down or a venue. Not like another, globally more famous, singer who was to sing in my home town but cried off for feeling unwell but sang the next night in the town up the road. She lost me as a fan.

Everytime I listen to her I feel her voice go through my soul like a pure crystal, and I feel like I'm on a mountaintop, very close to God, and absolutely filled with sheer joy. I feel like she's my sister, my friend and yet her voice is so perfect it's totally incomprehendible. A true Gift from the Father of Heavenly Lights above. Thank God for giving Sissel to the world!!!!!!

This is live. No autotune of anything. I met her once at the local cinema. It was when she used to live her, right after she became famous.

Sissel is of course magnificent, but look to Neil. His joy in her success is the sign of a great heart. There comes a moment where they both realize that this is a home run...look for it. Great people...never doubt the world is filled with them.

@@cherub1904And the thing is she's still very very beautiful today at age 54, she has aged so gracefully to the extend that some might say she's even more beautiful now 30+ years later, it's a quite unique feature. And of course no botox and plastic on a classy lady like her. And her voice is still second to none.

Heavens open its gates to You for sharing this magnificent sensual feast. Ever since I heard it, each time I get saddened, but melancholic just as well, I replay this heartsome, vibrant composition. He is so talented and so is she. He has written such beautiful music and plays a lovely piano. But what I really love about this the way they interact especially when Sadaka is lip sinking his own music.

0:27 Clearly Neil guides Sissel through the lyrics which seem unfamiliar to Sissel. That may mean that they may not even rehearsal.

Oh my GOD. My dear Neil I'm your fan since almost beginning and looking your face I know that you agree with me,never one of your beautiful songs was so great interpretation then this (except you). About the voice of Sissel, I don't know...the others sing, what Sissel do is other thing. From LISBON with love.

Well, she's 21 here and some way to go before the voice will realize its prime. It's in transition. I heard she was unwell at this performance and running a high fever. If that's true then she was quite heroic here.

At 18, it must have come as a significant boost to her confidence when a songwriter like Sedaka plays his composition for her to sing and he is giving all the signals during performance that she is delivering it and in spades.
