I once got to pick the hymns for a mass at our Catholic Church. We clapped with the music. The priest shouted at us 😂 So i relate to this more than most 😁😂🤣

I still remember my harmony parts as a tenor singing this song for the Bishop's Mass during my days in the Bishop Kenny High School Chorus! I loved singing this song with my Chorus Class! And I was considered the best of all guys in the Chorus class! Such happy memories ☺️! I will always look back on them fondly.

I love this song, and this movie, the ex Catholic in me gets nostalgia now and then for the hymns I grew up with and I’ll just look up this part in the movie. I wish we had sung it like this growing up in Catholic school

Her name is Wendy Makkena, and aparently she didn't actually sing herself, but was dubbed. The singing voice comes from Andrea Robinson.

You know, I thought about it. Traditional, conservative Catholics may not like this but I think is beautiful. I think the entire story is beautiful.

Trad Catholic here ( and Latin Mass goer). I love this rendition. While it is not appropriate for a Traditional Latin Mass, I can see it in.a Novus Ordo Mass. On a critical note in reply, the only thing I think is not fitting for any Mass is the spinning around and sticking butt out that Whoopi ‘s character does.. Great comedic effect 4 movie to portray the unfettered joyous energy and praise, but in a highly sacred and serious Mass that is most certainly highly immodest and irreverent. But this piece is lots of positive fun even for us Trads ! Blessings 😇
