I love these beautiful women. I wish that their sister Kathy would've still been a part of the group. RIP Joni. : (

These wonderful ladies have abundant attributes with beauty, brains, grace and class. The lord has blessed these sisters in more ways than one. We will miss you Joni! RIP (I hope Kathy, the missing sister, will reconcile with them and continue 'Sister Sledge' because life is too short, no pun intended)

Admirer's of the sisters, don't take it wrong. The other ladies are very attractive as well, and in my opinion, have become more lovely with time. But for me, Debbie's features , her killer smile & lanky body makes me wish at times I wasn't married. But I'm thinking, I'd have to be a very wealthy single dude to afford to keep her in her accustomed lifestyle. So I'll just dream of her when alone.

The Sledge sisters love don't go through... A fan from day one. I heard there was 5 sisters did the 5th sister sing too? I been in the music industry for years. But never got to meet or see them live.

ethiopianhabesha I’ve never heard RIP fleshed out like you’ve done. I heard of Rest In Power but Rejoice In Perfection fits more with my views of the afterlife.

Beautiful, talented, graceful, gifted, loyal, united sisters, then/now. Goodnight Joni!!----

@LANNA I am not sure about "United Sisters" they took their youngest sister, and former lead singer, Kathy Sledge to court over use of the name "Sister Sledge". I don't think they speak to Kathy at all.

@@sylviamaua745 Don’t spread gossip on things you know nothing about! No one made Kathy leave, she did what she wanted to do.

Wasn't it 4 of them? Wat happened to the other sister
@ericking17187 жыл бұрын
TheKitty6919 Yes. Kathy, the youngest and main lead singer. She left around 1989 (I believe) to pursue a solo career.
@steve-hm1wn7 жыл бұрын
plus they were feuding after Kathy went solo and actually sued her for the rights to the Sister Sledge name. It wasn't We Are Family it seems but Kathy and Joni did reconcile not too long ago I heard, shortly before her death.

Very talented and blessed singers, all of them, but they did not manage to do the huge career they deserved. Apart from their few, by Neil Rodgers produced mega hits, they did not go very far neither famewise nor musically. And it is often stated, that they did not love some of their big hits written for them, they were somehow reluctant to sing them, that means, they would then have almost no big career at all
