This cabin is deep in the Labrador wild. It's hidden in the forest and nestled on a beautiful, secluded lake. I have spent a lot of time at this cabin. Mostly partying! Now that I'm a wee bit older, I spend more of my time with the fellas out in the woods, gathering trees and gorging on food. I love this cabin. I have made a ton of memories here over the years; I even held my bachelor party here.
This week's video is filled with food, fun, and fire. I am hanging out with some good buddies and we are taking in all the beauty this place has to offer.

Caveman week was a great video. Getting away with great friends makes for a heck of a good time. I loved going to my dad's cabin alone and spend a month or more just being in touch with nature. There's nothing that compares to that experience. These types of videos give everyone a first hand glance to this activity if the opportunity is not available to them. ...meanwhile, chevrons✔of returning Canada geese in the sky, robins nesting 🪺 & squirrels 🐿mating in the little fruit tree outside my window at my nursing home just north of Lake Ontario. The seasons pass waaaaay too fast when you're old 😅!! I really enjoyed this video-it shows us what shaped Jay, a true Canadian & a guy we love 🥰.

Loved your videos in Labador. We got to see the country and how other people live. I always find that very interesting. We don’t get snow down here in Texas, or frozen lakes and rivers. It is amazing how much the Canadians love their winter time and enjoy it so much. I would love that too. Much better than the hellacious heat we get.

Hi from New Brunswick. I loved to watch u guys. We have a off grid cabin. We love to spend quality time with friends and family there. Its the best. Play cards. Just have great times. No better food then in the woods. Its just awesome to see u spend time with friends and family. I really enjoy watching ur adventures. Thx for sharing those special times with us.

Reminds me of my days near Flagstaff where I saw a lot of conifers growing close together. They called them "dog hairs". Really spells out the need to do some thinning to prevent forest fires from turning into fire bombs.

That's what I call a Caveman Week! The cabin life seemed very relaxing and enjoyable. I could tell that you and your compadres had a great visit. And the food wasn't too shabby! Hopefully, you will make the 20th Anniversary. Thanks for sharing. All your videos are great. Looking forward to being back at your campsite before the winter ends. Honestly, I like ALL your videos, Jay. Your life is so different from mine that it's fascinating. I love watching you camp in your tent when it's -40 degrees F, knowing there's NO WAY in HELL my Southern blood could stand that! Watching you hang out with your buddies, catching up with each other, processing wood, cooking, throwing darts and generally being cavemen for a week was fun! Glad you had the chance to get away and do that. Thanks for including us on your trip!

Jay, first time ever i see tamarack as fire wood. Tamarack and Hemlock resist rot as well as cedar. I used rough cut hemlock to rebuild our dock at our camp.

Looks like a great time was had by all. Really enjoyed your footage, just enough detail to make it flow, so nothing major was left out. Good detail about the brakes on your sled going out. Makes the video more real, seeing issues being dealt with like that, great video.

Interesting to see how much things changed when the generator ran out of gas. Some modern amenities are really nice to have, but it's great to see most of life reduced to the simple things like starting a fire or cooking lunch on a stick. Thanks for sharing Jay, you've got quite the treasure to enjoy in Cave Man Week. I'm glad we had a glimpse into your tradition.

WHAT A GREAT VIDEO!!! Sweet cabin!!! Man being on those sleds through the trails in the woods really takes me back so many years ago, almost 50 years now!!! On Saturdays and Sundays we would ride 100 to 150 miles each day!! Yamaha, my sled of choice back in the day!! There were no slide rails back then, it was bogie wheels buddy!! LOL Thanks for the memories, Jay!! Good times!! It's really enjoyable to see these little side trips!! Labrador is amazingly beautiful!! I'm very glad you took me along on this trip!!! Bridge
