You can enable the vanilla mod unlimite oil and ore. Or something like that. Then you do not need to repaint oil and ore.

I think this video could benefit greatly from being more structured, as it's kind of hard to tell what exactly the tips are and how effective each of them are. It seems like the first 11 minutes are about the custom industry areas, but those aren't really profitable unless you mod them to heck and back. One of the tips concerns university areas, but it is followed up with "build all three and upgrade them", which is not a smart idea. You're tripling the operating costs while all the campuses compete for the same limited number of students, so the income stays flat. The only tip shown to have any great impact is that of using a mod to turbocharge the output of factories to absolutely bonkers levels, and at that point you might as well edit in money manually or build one of those parks with negative operating costs. I don't think there is anything wrong with the video per se, but its title ends up being misleading. If it had been titled "how my city makes so much money" or something like that, it would have fit the content better. As it is, it appears to promise some general tips for making money in Cities: Skylines, but that's not really what the video is about. I would definitely love to see a structured and well-edited video about the subject, though!

I accidentally found a way for the Space Elevator to make stupid amounts of money: Place it so that tourists will have to pass through a park district to access public transport. Needless to say, that park will also level up pretty fast.

Setting up 3 college areas at level 5 with the 3 policies you need will make you 500k+ a week every week. College areas are actually better at making money than anything. People go to school. People will pay to go to school. It's a win, win. Once setup you can lower tax to almost nothing. It's doesn't matter. You can't lose money if you use the DLCs. Taxes get lower as your bank account gets higher. DLC income never takes the hit. It's why the money they make is broken in my opinion. Industry DLCs are insane. But insane traffic as well. College make almost zero traffic to make 500k+ a week. Again it's a win, win.

Instead of painting those resources when they run out, why not using the vanilla in game unlimited resources mod??? Also universities are much better way of making money as they don't require as much tinkering as industry does (don't get me wrong I love those unique factories and building my own industries, barely use any industry zones if i'm being honest)...just make each of those universities home about 10000 students and have varsity sports and then just sit and watch the money roll in...

How do you keep the unique factories completely filled with goods? I have enough warehouses for each good, good traffic flow and make more than enough goods to supply the factories, but it always just orders the product too late, and runs out of the product before a new livery arrives. (even with a warehouse standing next to it)

wow your percentage income proportions are really off, my residential and commercial taxes account for 40% of income, industries for 40% and the rest for tourism, transportation, campus, etc

Guess the ideal population for a city in this game is around 130k to 170k. That's the population I always strike like 500k income per week. Once it's over 200k, I always start getting a decrease in residential and commercial district income for unknown reason. I mean these are meaningful income that could cancel out all the money that goes in to service buldings or transportation buildings(i.e airport hubs, harbors).

No matter how great this game is, it just can't do what SC4 does, a big real city.

I thought you never go into money and city needs.

Switch also have DLC, we don't have Green Cities etc. Only After Dark, The Snow one with Trams and thats it. Not even the Stop Sign Control, the Traffic Flow %, none of that! Also the infinite natural resources cheat isn't there! (Is that an Industries DLC cheat?)

Basically, I'm playing in hard mode and I'm pretty sure the maintainance cost is never that low, in fact, wayyy too low. And I can't remember that the unique factory has like 60k+ value, more like 10k. Anyways, it's your city, do what you like! Btw, reeeeally nice city thou.

I never have that 400k profit, my bigger is in 230k profit. Oh u use dlc, i dont have that industry dlc, i just have after dark, parklife, and green cities dlc. Sometimes i hate paradoxs interactive, why they didnt make green cities and parklife being 1 dlc
