I have some 40 hours or so of play time on this paddle, I think that the sweet spot is substantial larger than you describe. Especially with some perimeter weighting( but still plenty fast at the NVZ line). Additionally, unlike the new gear box paddle the transition out of the sweet spot is predictable. Often it can be “ felt” and compensated for during the finish . The spin generation on all stroke directions is first class. More of a control and spin paddle overall versus power/speed.

I played mine for a few weeks. I am sure the sweet spot gets bigger with more play. I had about 20 hrs of gameplay. Also depends how much weight is added to the edge. I liked it but I like the larger sweet spot on the Loco and Ruby.

Good review . I have every 6.0 paddle and honestly this is prob the best paddle in the lineup. Do not add weight to this paddle. Completely defeats the purpose of it. Just get the regular BD then. Another downside to this paddle is the painted edge. Super fragile. Cracks Chips and will crack off. Definitely need to use edge guard tape. I recommend 2 layers.

I am so looking forward to your ruby review! I am currently playing with the ruby but having a bit of a hard time adjusting and figuring it out. Do you have any tips that might help?

The ball makes a big difference when it comes to the Ruby. I found that it plays better with harder and faster balls. Softer balls can be tricky due to the plush feel. I can struggle with resets and drops by leaving them short. If I start to struggle I just switch back to one of the carbon fiber paddles I keep in my bag. I plan to make a video on having a reliable carbon fiber paddle in the bag. One that isn’t flashy but just plays well with any ball. Probably more control oriented. I really like the loco by bread and butter and kiwi labs slice.

I couldn't agree with you more in regards to not using it in tournaments. I tried it for about a week every day and could not get used to the inconsistency of the paddle due to the very small sweet spot.

Right! Someone else thought the sweet spot was much larger. I think the ball you play with makes a big difference. This paddle might be great with softer balls like the franklin x -40. Mishits with a less forgiving ball can be brutal.

I love Six Zero but there are better looking paddles.

I've watched a few of your vids and I applaud you on launching this channel! I think you have great potential because you have excellent command over the spoken word and your delivery. There is no stuttering, stammering, mis-speaking that is so common with new channels. Your content shows your experience and passion for the game and that you've put lots of thought and prep into each of your videos! The only suggestion I can offer is to make your broadcast a little more interesting. It almost looks like you may be reading word for word. If that's what it takes to deliver your great content, then so be it. But if you can move around a bit more, maybe stand sometimes and use visual aids and body language, I think it will help engage your audience. Looking forward to more of your coverage of this great game we all love!

Thanks! Some videos I have to retake quite a few times. I don’t have a teleprompter yet. Right now I am just going off notes or reviews I have pre wrote for guidance. My current studio setup is limited because my office space is so small. I have to sit low in the shot. In the next few months i will be moving to a new spot so i will have some more room for my studio. Excited about what I can accomplish this year.

Yes and no lol. I actually missed points because my timing was off. I had to adjust to the lighter paddle.

I agree its a great looking paddle, but if looking for even the slightest power, forget it. This was 200 in garbage. Not enough lead tape in the world to help this thing

It’s defiantly not for everyone. I enjoyed playing with it. I wish they would make this same paddle with an edge guard. It’s so different from the original. A black diamond control. I would be all in.
