I love that you use paper templates, an angle grinder to cut everything from paper and dimension steel, quickly made jigs, Mig for *everything*. It's realistic. It works. Yes I also love CAD, and CNC'ed billets, and waterjets, and lasers, and Tig - but there's a place for all of it.

Small tip for you when making identical brackets. Cut out all your blanks and tack them together before you drill them. That is called gang drilling. That way you know all your holes are in the same orientation/spacing. Leave them tacked when you grind them to shape too. Removes some margin of error. You do have to use normal twist drills and not a step drill though.

Hi! I really like your project. I would like to suggest something. Please make the rear wing adjustable longitudinally. I say this because of the aero balance. I don't really see how your car will produce front downforce (I see the splitter but the frontal area of the car is so small I don't think there will be a lot of pressure above it.) So I did some calculations based on your design from part 1: If your rear wing makes 200 kg downforce and the car weighs 1000 kg (500 kg front 500 kg rear), the distribution will be 452,2 kg front, 747,7 kg rear. That is 37,7% front, 62,3% rear. Yes, the rear wing generates 50 kg lift on the front tires(which is 10% of the original 500kg, not much but not negligible). If you had your wing above the rear axle the ratio would be 41,7% front, 58,3% rear. Having more rear downforce is good for coming out of corners (less whellspin) but the car would probably understeer. So my suggestion is that you build the rear frame so that you can bolt the rear wing mount in different positions. This way you have the option to change the aero balance. This is not difficult to build and possibly won't even change the weight of the car, it just needs a little bit of designing. If you look at F1 or LMP1 thy dont have the rear wing as far behind the rear wheel as production cars because the dont have a rear window (except Mazda 787 for example, but that is to help the the diffuser and needs proper design). (I know I ignored the diffuser and other factors, my point is not the exact number. The point is the ability to tune the car.)

I love the build and the sharing of knowledge. But the whole structure is so heavily dependent on welding quality that I am curious how well it holds up. Weldments do not like constant bending and vibrating forces - something a racecar is subjected to all the time. The weldments will fracture and give up, resulting possibly in a catastrophic failure. As a positive note... all kart chassis are welded and they seem to hold up.

This looks pretty awesome but I was wondering... down the road when you need to service the diff, how will you remove it? That hole up top seems like it might be full of body panels. And as always, it's too late to mention but wouldn't it make more sense to have the push rod stuff in front of the axles to keep more of the weight closer to the center of gravity instead of having it sit at the edge of the car?

In the last video you talked about reinforcements around the rear end and I thought that would add braces to the Toe bar link mounting points on the frame. Right now that look like that have no triangulation and look a bit out of place. Does that link not take very much force allowing it be mounted that way? If that is the case then they look like an after thought and just do not look as well designed as the rest of the car. This is not saying you should change it if not needed and I get you may not be done back there.
