You are clipping those subs man. You need to turn that Gain knob down. Also. I highly recommend not using any bass boost. All they does is cause distortion and it cooks them voice coils. I'm not hating on ya. I'm just giving some solid advice. I've been in the car audio game a long time. I've definitely made my mistakes over the years.

U need to turn that around u put the subs facing the trunk to get the bass to form when it hits you up front I think what u put the subs like they are u gave to reverse the poles basically put negative on positive and positive on the negative on the speakers. The rca is the better way to go are you sure they might have rca hook up on the factory radio yes

If he wires pos to neg, if those are dual 4 ohm 12s, he would be wiring them to 4OhM load? If he goes pos to pos, neg to neg- it’s 1ohm, and making much more power.

The holy grail subwoofer box for 12s is an isobaric 8th order bandpass enclosure. Big big lows. It's just hard finding anyone that can actually build one right. Edit: the box that comes with those subs limits the subs by alot. I guess he wanted to keep trunk space. I got a big ported box in my trunk and i really dont like it. I may do a infinite baffle setup.

I had a Xfl 15 in my Veloster in a sealed box with a Taramps Smart 3k which hit ok but switched to a ported box and the difference was INSANE!

Cut All of that extra cord that you do not need I have installed and many of my challengers and 3 hundreds with the battery in the trunk you only need about 5' of wiring and 3' for ground cut the rest off So your power is not traveling such a long distance to get to your amp good install my man... Face the speakers the other way they will bump harder no no

Cut off the access wiring that you have rolled up that you don't need. The shorter the wire the more effective it will be. Plus facing the box towards the back is louder.

I’m glad I found this video, I have the skar 12inch subwoofer box with 2 12inch kicker compQ subs and I was wondering would the box fit in the challenger trunk.

@@O4L. yea I’m on my second challenger and second set of these speakers they fit but the wheel arches in the trunk tilts the box down when you’s push it all the way back. You still have trunk space and you can still open the compartment where the battery is.

I had 2 12s in a new edge Mustang back in the day. Just have to get with the audio shop to make sure it’s the right spec. It’s less than 100 bucks for the box

Did that amp converter have a black wire? I hooked up everything else in my challenger but I’m having a hard time figuring out were my black wire suppose to go. I have a kicker amp converter and it says the black is for “Chassis Gnd”. Can anyone help me?

I have optima in mine. I would just upgrade the charging system. Find a shop that can put an upgraded wire on your alternator so it charges the battery faster. You can also get a capacitor.

They are good now. That’s how the amp was set right out the box. I got the subs to it’s top performance without popping while the base know was all the way up. Now even if he blast it it doesn’t pop.

Turn down the gain a bit. It’s the bass is all the way up at low volumes. The bass should be at its full potential when the volume is almost always up

@@CarReviewsbyKJ okay so also about running the speaker wires is it best to run them parallel I have 820 watt 2 channel amp with two 12 subs max 1200 watt each and they are 4 ohms I believe so I have both negative together and positives running to L and R on my amp is that best? Or what

If it’s only one input you have to get the L and R together. If you have 2 inputs and put them on the end inputs then that’s bridging it.

They dont actually loc is just a signal coverter doesn't really change anything except the preamp output voltage which is not even noticeable

@@rocketcitytint well I had one in an impala and my sub didn't wanna hit lows at all and once I hooked it up to a head unit it sounded way better and hit way lower I've always been told they limit the subs and make it where they can only hit certain frequencies

Recommend taking woofers out of box. Look and see if woofers are 4ohms. And how they are wired. You shouldn't hear distortion from speakers

I am getting a Skar single 12” 2,500 watt EVL for my 2020 charger. I was thinking about doing the same thing. I don’t want absolutely no rattling. I only want the inside of the car to have super clean bass. I’m not a bass junkie nor do I care if the neighbors hear me thundering a mile away.

It’s only one set of speaker wires like a mono block. So it’s just positive to negative from the speaker to the amp.

I ended up rerouting it the next day. Moved the amp to the back of the seat for ventilation.
