Finally got these two sub's to go head to head and live on the dyno. Thanks for watching. Subscribers this is for you and all the others watching the VXF video's. I actually like the VXF better. It has a better frequency response. Now the 18" version I like the ZVX better because there's not a VXF 18"

I've had one 18" sub when I was younger, did not have it long, my car died and I sold everything. I would love to get another 18" and throw that in my van. Maybe I will, thanks for the idea.

@@SubzPawz yeah I see that CT Sounds has an affordable 18" sub for under $200 Don't get the Skar SDR they handle less than recommended power. In my opinion there a waste of money. I had one blow on 500 watts no clipping.

I got a great question that I’ve been thinking about for a while. This first started with the EVL versus the DDX. Compare the two baskets On the Zvx vs the vxf. See how the Vxf has much smaller narrow cone vents compared to the zvx. I can imagine a double baffle enclosure would definitely restrict airflow. This is something I can’t find no info on but I put two three-quarter inch sheets of MDF next to my DDX and I had a fraction of gap to allow air movement, so I decided to invert the subs. It would be nice to see the db deference of conventional versus inverted mounting. especially with subs that have a basket with narrow cone vents.

Ive looked everywhere for a ddr i believe its called even wrote skar and no luck. Not sure why they stopped producing them.

@@SubzPawz ok i slapped it on same gain settings as my Rockville punisher and it slams way harder and flexes my truck alot more but it stunk after about 45 seconds of young jeezy put on , on full tilt i had did a full hour free air break in sweep 30 mins prior and had no issues could it be the fresh glue on the coil heating up or is this thing gona handle less than my punisher ?? What’s ur opinion

@@SubzPawz i think it just needs more break in time before going full tilt lol i just wanted to see what it did for about 45 seconds and soon as it smelled light i lowered it instantly well see if not ill return it

I would give it time to break in. I made a video specifically for this reason. Try my technic and see if it works for you. @@5.02valve8

I know numbers wise it did more than the Punisher did. It could be glue. Not sure the break in time but I would take it easy for a little while at least.@@5.02valve8

Is there anyway I can speak to you privately ? I have the skar VXF 12 D2 running on a skar rp2000.1D running at 1 ohm but I'm not getting much output I've been messing with everything for weeks upgraded big 3-4 running 0 gauge wire everywhere but my sub starts to clip way before it starts moving any good amount of air.

I have a Instagram account, same name, subsandpaws, TikTok account, subandpaws, bassheadsofmassachusetts on Facebook. What is making a clipping light go off, I mean what are you testing it with that's the concern. I have repeatedly said that I love their subs but the amps not so much, and I've owned 3 of them myself, I have sold them all and will not buy another.

Would a rp 4500 or 3500 be better if im running 2 vxf's 12's at a 1 ohm load? Recently im running one xvf on rp 2000 but just doesnt sound as loud as I thought it would.

I honestly do not like the Skar amps myslef, they sould kind of flat and have no depth to them. If you're going to get a new amp look at NVX XAD series, you can thank me later. NVX-XAD 13 or higher, better, 14, 15. The 13 will give you 3,000 watt's or better, the 14 oh boy, if you can run that you're in for a treat, trust me you can thank me later. When you feel the power it put puts out you will forget all about the Skar amp.

I'm not sure what you're asking 🤔. If you mean the impedance rise, no. I think the vxf just has a high rise. I did put it in a recommended enclosure from Skar and it did much better but still not where I think it should be. If you were curious about something else, ask a question. I have almost 1,200 videos and don't remember everything from every one. Thanks for your comment 😊
