This system is brand new and we are still in the middle of the build, subwoofers have only seen power for 24hrs now and he is taking it easy during this video. Will be posting more as we go and we hope you enjoy the build and bass demo.

Your going to dig it, these 2 15s get down. This is my brothers set up and man he LOUD. I am running the same subwoofers, but i have 3 of them on a 4500.1D. Once you get your build done let me know if you post a vid

That shit slams Would definitely recommend sound deadening the trunk lid though, just fid it mine and it made a big difference

Agree on that. Never installed it till a couple of months ago. I did a 2013 tahoe. Didn't do doors yet. I went with the NVX butyl rubber with foil. Roughly 9.80 10.00 a sheet 200 bucks Wal-Mart. 90 mil. Then I went on eBay and bought self adhesive neoprene rubber pads and slapped them on there WAY to much headliner noise. From experience. My old Laredo with all carpet sounded way different then the vehicle with plastic and leather seats sounded ALOT better. But the deadner made a deeper tone solid I guess

Is an rp 3500 a good size amp for it? Tryna figure out how many watts RMS this thing can take. And I want an amp that can put out double the RMS.

@@bailey2517 They handle way more than 1500rms. 1500rms is only their daily use, 3000 max. And to have two of them on a RP3500 is way too much for that amp if you want to play them for a while.

Skar makes EXTREMELY good subs for the price. Like, tell me any other 15" that is 2000 (actual) RMS, slams lows, looks beautiful, good SQ, etc... For under $300. Go on.

I got alot of experience with this vxf 15... I found that if u want the best sound quality go 2 cubes ported 31 hz ... And sealed go about the same 2 cubes and youl get the most punchy bass that gets low and accurate with low group delay ... Sounds better ported tho since its low qts.. i got alot of trail and error with this sub tried alot of boxes

These subs are more on high SPL then low end bass 31hz is way to low dude. The real XMAX IS 20MM MEANING SPL ONLY :D LOLOL IT IS NOT LIKE MY 2 X-10'S THAT IS HOW IT WORKS

I was not getting to tech on it, i spent about a half a day making the box and kinda rushed thru it, i am building a more permanent box for him now, it will have the port shooting thru the rear acting as a blow thru, surely it will gain some DB's lol

@@terik555 yeah but most important thing is alot of port area since its got alotta motor force... And tuning low itl sound amazing if u choke out on 1 of those it aint gonna sound good... And yeah it is im also getting a taraamps smart 3k bass to try out soon its already ordered lol... Was good on my zapco z2kd at 1ohm tho

@@terik555 that tar amp will kill those beautiful quality subs for one reason way too much distortion and unsufficient/ amplifier out of that Brazilian amp it'll keep clipping and destroy that beautiful speaker stay away from tar plenty of experience with them.🤔why put a cheaply made tar amp on a high quality subwoofer like that. That's like putting steelies with hubcaps on a ZL1 Camaro LOL SMH.

Poor amplifier taking all that vibration I would have rubber cushions underneath at least 1 inch off the box everything shaking loose inside of that amplifier it won't last long nice little setup though

I definitely do NOT recommend it. Lead acid batteries vent and also have liquid inside of them. AGM batteries on the other hand are vent-less and use a gel instead of liquid

I’ve never had and issue I have a vxf 15 on a kicker zx1500.1 5 cubes around 29 30 hz on regular extra battery never had a problem or anyone else I know .. I run inline fuses for just incase purposes

Yo man I’m trying to make something similar with 2 vxf 12’s and a taramps 5000D. any ideas on a good box? I want this shit to be as loud as possible for my setup and dont know if I should go subs facing the trunk or the seat in a sealed environment.

Ported, subs facing trunk, and port coming through the rear seats from the center cupholder thing. If yours doesnt go through, port and subs facing to trunk

I think he said its 6.5 cube sealed box. I have this same set up except im running 2 taramps bass 3ks and a 4th order in my yukon. Ive paid alot more money for way less sound. Im pretty impressed by these subs.
