Damn! I was hoping Hercules, AJ, and Matthew were all going to land their bangers. I still can’t comprehend vert skating. I will always throw myself down a 20 set before airing 20 feet out of a vert ramp. I wish I had the balls to learn it as a young kid. I can’t imagine how fun it must feel flying like that!

ALMOST 45 years Ago now , when Spring Valley California’s “ Skateboard Heaven “ park was being torn down to make way for the 125 south freeway myself & a couple of buddies bought the Cat Backhoe guy a lunch JUST TO BE ABLE TO SKATE IT ONE LAST TIME !!! I SO get this video here Dan 😕. The shit we did that last session , and in SO MANY other empty pools & ditches & reservoirs and all our other skate spots ( I somehow missed Del Mar being demolished) was the memories I’ll carry always. Sorry to see this one now as well being scheduled into historical memory….

Dan touched on mental health. My experience. I also put a lot of pressure on myself. This pressure can be overwhelming, seek some help I promise it will help. Someone to speak to. Be honest the more the better result.

I used to skate this same combo pool at The Block at Orange over a decade & a half ago. This brings back some nostalgia.

I remember the last, official and post-closure guerrilla sessions with missing coping blocks in the combi when the OG upland pipeline was shut down. The Steve Schneer tribute ho ho attempts really brought back memories of that era.

Thanks for the blue balls Dan! :P I rolled around in the Combi back when it was still that gunite pool surface. You know that slick but had like sharp little pimples all over it? Early 2000s. I say roll because just my little carves don't really amount to skating it. That little bit though gave me a big appreciation for the ripping that was going on here. Props to all the dudes in here.
