Why do people get so mad? I live on a hill and kids are constantly grinding my sidewalk. After it started crumbling I redid it and put a metal rail on the corner so it was easier for them to slide down it. Last winter everytime I went to shovel my sidewalk I found it was already done. It was done because the skater board kids would come shovel it to say thanks for not being a dick to us. Glad kids around me are out getting exercise instead of being in a house on the internet. I don't get being a dick to them.

I'm a 47 year old lady and all 3 of my kids have skated for almost two decades so I might be a little biased. I'd be disappointed if any of my children disrespected a person because they got caught skating somewhere they're not supposed to but I'ma head over if someone touches my child or runs away with their skateboard. People who don't skate, don't realize how expensive it is have a complete deck. We don't have any Walmart boards over here.

When I was 18 I was out skating when a guy from a greeting card shop came out and wedged a broom handle under my trucks throwing me off so without hesitation I got back up grabbed my deck( Powell ray barbee) and threw it through his shop window , the police were inevitably called but once the full story was explained we agreed to not press charges against each other , him for assault and me for criminal damage. I skated past his shop everyday after that and not a peep from him . I’m 46 now

Little lesson here; nobody who doesn't skate is jealous of skateboarders. If you want to do it, you do it. They might be angry at things, but it isn't 'man, I really want to be this kid right now' jealousy. That's just you trying to feel the thing you're into is more special or above everyone.

The problem is about most of skaters don't eat enough so they cannot defend themselves. I'm 1.90 for 96 kilos actually (103kg, 6 month ago). I'm skating in France since my 12 yo, I'm actually 28. I rarely got bothered. People they scare of my size (sorry for my English I'm french)

I live across the street from a place where skaters frequent. Technically they’re not supposed to skate there. I don’t call the cops. I love watching the tricks!!! I could watch it forever. The first time I watched them they all thought I was coming to chase the away. lol I told them I just wanna watch. I’m a 50 year old woman and they offered me their boards to try 🤣 I passed cos I’d probably get hurt. But you’re only young once.. have fun. Treat them with respect like you would any other human. If they actually took the time to watch you guys they’d be as blown away as I am. Takes great skill to skate.
