I can not stand when this happens like bro. I will have been invading the whole game getting 3-4 kills per invade then when it matters most some random dude who hasnt banked a single mote the whole game runs in dies instantly.

usually half of the team does what he did. I'd say calling him "that guy" isn't correct since the majority of gambit players are "playing" that way

@@bj_cat103 this is Sadly somewhat true as I've come across a couple of players doing this before myself. I can't tell you how many times we could have won some of our best games if they bank a little bit early instead of always trying to go for 15 or invading when it wasn't necessary. But I will also admit, not every player does this. there are some good people but they are very hard to come across

@@RocketPower95 there's defo some good players, but the majority is bad. That's why I prefer normal gambit, there's just a higher chance to get matched with a group that knows what they are doing, while in freelance it's a russian roulette

I tried it and in some circumstances it's actually pretty effective against invaders. But worse at everything else.

Note: A good sentry knows when play off role to aid their team.

I never build to it. But if my team is sending 2 large ones and I have 5 and happen to be near that bank, sending a small to assist immediately is infinitely better than grabbing another 10 motes, by which time the original 2 large blockers are dead. Therefore invalidating my large blocker because the enemy team will be by the bank waiting to nuke it.

@@firenzarfrenzy4985 Yeah it's part of the reason my Clan does Small, Small, Small, Medium/Large. Took a bit of practice but we do notice that the Taken Goblins and their chain invulnerability beams stall the enemy team enough to be a hassle and shaving off a few banked motes.

@@godknightomega Your clan? Brother I'd be happy if I had a duo to do gambit consistently with. The only gambit advice I ever got was from a veteran friend when I just joined the game. "Let the enemy bank first. That way they have 0 motes to drain at the start." Nothing after that. I'm Dredgen 4 now lol. Warlock for insane mote play or hunter when I want to be a slimy invader. Not proud of Xeno w Golden Gun but hey, makes gilding easy

Context though right ? If I'm on 12 motes, we're miles ahead & I need a large blocker for a bounty then maybe don't stress out if I'm shredding the last couple adds to get the motes. Just keep the bank clear, stuff any invasions & I'll be there ASAP. Doing a bounty is the only acceptable reason for over-moting btw, but since you can't usually ask someone why they're not banking then maybe give them the benefit of the doubt & watch their back instead of raging. Either that or just go get the 2 motes yourself, whatever works for ya :D

@@pieceofgosa My usual go to is to go for the motes myself. Allowing for bounties is generally fine if we have enough of an advantage, but if its a close game or the mote guy is taking too long, there will be angy. Bonus points if there is an invader rattling about and all your hoarding is for nothing when he goes straight for the guy with the most motes. The thing about this stereotype is its a stereotype for a reason. Bad players are a fact of life with Gambit - saying its for a bounty only goes so far when you can knock out a giant blocker in the first half of the match rather than right at the end. And no bounty warrants more than one large blocker iirc.
