Like you CAN’T fire someone THAT high profile without SOME context beyond “saving money”. It’d be like if Disney Fired John Williams right after they had announced the last sequel movie…. Actually, the idea of Salvatori composing for the next Star Wars or Halo project specifically BECAUSE he was fired from Bungie _does_ amuse me greatly to be honest.

I genuinely feel so bad for Devs that remain and those that got laid off. One side suddenly lost many friends and are under pressure of both development and fear if losing their job as well, while the other side has to suddenly find a job, right before the holidays while also losing contact... I wouldn't be as mad if it was properly announced and dealt with or even negotiated in some way, but all we got was this catastrophe... I love this game but man, Bungie management make it so much harder to care.. P.S. Screw you He-Man, might as well call it TW*T

It wasn't a catastrophe. I'm so tired of seeing people complain about "the way it was handled". They were given very little notice so nobody leaked info about final shape, and they were all given severance, something most people will not get. They handled it about as nicely as you can in that situation.

You're one of the few remaining Destiny 2 content creators I still follow since deleting the game and your content is still top notch. Skeletor always knows what to say to brighten up my day. I still can't get over the fact that after firing so much talent and diehard contributors to their success they had the nerve to say that they kept the right people.

Capitalism is not the problem. In fact, it was capitalism that led to the historic expansion of the middle class in the 20th century. No, the real problem here, for Bungie, has been poor decision making by its leadership. What needs to happen is for true capitalism to self correct. That is, the members of Bungie's board/the shareholders need to vote out the boobs who made the decisions that got them in this pickle.

2:02 To be fair about the TWID, it was released JUST AFTER the layoffs happened, so they were probably too busy running behind the scenes damage control to address the issue then… Because they didn’t really have ANY answers yet TO give at the time. I’m expecting a LONG TWID next week.

I blame the devs for when I die to architect's, exploits and bugs. I blame management for crucible changes, sunset, disabling exotics and aspects on day 1 raids, deleting legendary shards, randomized recoil patterns and all the other bullshit that causes player to cancel pre orders

I aggressively agree with the statements made by this video. I wanted the game to get BETTER and I wanted TLS to be an amazing finale to the IP, I wanted to see more on TLS before I made a decision on whether to invest my time in it after finishing LIGHTFALL after TWQ got me sold on the witness and the anticipation of the climax of the franchise.

As someone who quit during Season of the Deep and came back for two days during the release week of season of the Witch just to uninstall again I’ve long since taken the pill of “Destiny is on a train to hell that is gaining speed exponentially.” At this point, I just wanted the developers to get their desires. If even that is getting squashed into the dust, I hold no sympathy for those on top. If Bungie as a company dies in a disgraceful blaze due to this, so be it. I hope the developers don’t have to sink with the Swiss cheese-holed ship

None has ever done something as bad as firing one of the best video musicians of all time, the art designer who was also the designer of one the most recognizable logos in gaming history AKA the Halo logo and then have the audacity to say they "kept the right people" in a blog post. I love you for making this. Even if the final shape did come out on time I still wouldn’t play it. I’m too burned out still from it. Especially since I know for a fact they still aren’t going to change strikes at all. The one thing I actually enjoy grinding the most and now it’s just sweat fest for gm’s.
