I know it might be a random question but I have seen a lot of artists making quite advances studies or full artwork in sketchbooks but how do you feel about painting on both sides of the paper ? I can fill up some pages in sketchbooks but I only paint one side, I just can't paint behind a piece if I spent 3h+ on it It feels off ! but then I only have incomplete books XD

that's a pretty common way to paint in sketchbooks, most people only paint on one side, especially if it's watercolor paper. later on you can take it apart and frame the pages if you want

Love your work! It looks like Sketchbook Co is no longer in business. Do you have any recommendations for similar sketchbooks that are not too thick or precious and can hold watercolor and gouache? Thank you 🌷

I gave up looking and ended up just learning to make them. It worked out cheaper and easier. I was so frustrated with the over priced rubbish that was available and I never liked the paper that they put in them. If you possibly can, I do recommend trying it. It’s not as hard as you might think and you really only need a decent knife, straight edge, something to make holes and the rest you can improvise with. There are lots of tutorials. I like Coptic binding because it lays flat and is strong, but there are many options. You can even just glue it.
