Great tour- especially loved the loose extra spicy bold bird and animal spreads!! Your nails were extra spicy too- love it!! Lol

I just love sketchbook tours! And here I can see how much fun you had filling it up. Really nice!!! Soon I'll be posting a sketch book tour also. The one I used to take with me everywhere in my purse. It's already in the editing fase. Hope I don't take too long... You know how editing can be!!!... Bye bye

They’re a lot of fun! You can also go to Melissa’s channel, and on her “live” tab it has alllll the replays. I definitely can’t make all the lives when I have to drive kids places or some times I’m just plain old pooped by 7pm😂

Thank you, Marie Louise🫶😄That @sandihester video on values is so good! It really opened my eyes to a whole new way to create more contrast and interest with values. It was something I didn’t give values much thought when it comes to colors I usually only think about it with highlights and shading. So I highly recommend watching!

So cool, Debbie! I loved seeing your colorful paintings, and it was a blast seeing all your pages related to your and Melissa's art hang/draw weird things parties. I have loved jumping into those over the last couple of months. So much fun and inspiration!

Oh, this book turned out so nice! Still loving that bird + stars spread, but really really enjoyed the full bird spreads from Sophie's DTIYS onwards (and that page too! to me it reads like night but maybe like the blue hour). The AHP/draw weird session pages looked so cool as well, especially with the grid pattern. So many fun things! I'm yet to start my Potentate book but itching to try. Looks it worked really well with all the mixed media stuff you threw at it. I'm also yet to do Sophie's DTIYS -- which I really want to do and already have a design/sketch for. I don't normally feel like doing those either, idk, it feels strange. Maybe it's just that I don't have a particular style nor am I a character based artist and so many of them seem to be very character heavy. I guess I liked Sophie's because it was so 'loose' and more about the story/scene. 🤔

I can’t wait to hear how you like that sketchbook when you break it in, TDSSpy! It definitely takes a punch and you can get extra messy without it pilling or warping. I sound like an infomercial for this dang thing😆🤣but it really impressed me especially for how inexpensive it was! I don’t know if Sophie ever posted other DTIYS challenges but hers is the only one I’ve ever attempted because usually illustrators put out their own characters and want to see how others interpret them. And I’m also not much into creating and drawing characters even if I have in the past. But hers was a fun one even if I don’t love my results 😅But hey, go for it! I’m sure you’ll make something lovely and it will totally be in your style because YOU made (that’s what makes it *your* style!)
