It's a cool house! Don't get me wrong! It really doesn't look like it's worth 25.5 million to be honest! But the fact that the guy bought it so soon after winning? And in his name? I think in how many years he will be part of the 70 percent who spent it all and go broke! Why would you put it in your own name? I would put it in a L.L.C. business name. So no one knows who owns it. Just imagine how many people will be waiting as he drives home. He is going to have to hire a security team to protect him forever now.

@J.J.s Headlight Restoration it takes a long time to build these homes on the hill. Sometimes, 4/5 years, the price reflects that. But also that it's hard to get homes in prime areas in particular with good views. 👍

if i got it. I would be fine. I dont even want fancy stuff so id just get a nice house like that and couple cars. If i go on vacation id rent a yacht no point in buying it if ill barely ever use it. and i dont want anyone to rob me so i would never flaunt the wealth. id just dress like a regular person.

I worked in Newport at Fashion Island and can tell you 100% of the ultra-wealthy, those with serious money, always dress like regular people. The only way you can tell they have cash is by the watch they are wearing. And that was fortunate for me because I sold high-end watches then.

@TJ that's totally California. Coming from London it's totally different. The wealthy dress extremely well, and that is the same for most of Europe. Living in Los Angeles, you see people getting out of Bentleys and Lamborghinis looking like they just woke up!! Different strokes for different folks. 👍

Hold on a minute zippy. 700K-800K is a little light lol. In Vegas, a house of that size and quality on an elevated valley view lot, that would be bigger, in say MacDonald Highlands would be 13M - 20M.

can you imagine going from having probaly nothing just a normal job too suddenly your living like this lol....Views, Cars, Incredible houses, never working again, i mean everything changes at that point. The places you eat, the people you meet, the neighbors, the car you drive, probably can go too new countries. Kinda amazing. I would just give everything and help my family.

Tight house but belongs in a better location. Views are of smog. I would want something like an Ocean view and something away from the other homes. I would be worried about mud slides too during heavy rain, but like I said the house looks great.

This Powerball winner won 2.04 Billion, after the cash out option and taxes, he Actually took home $628 million, much less than advertised, but still alot of free money🎉He also purchased 2 other mansions in L.A in addition to this one.

Honestly I wouldn't even invest $25 mil into a house even if I won a billion ......I'd settle for a nice cozy high tech house for around a mil or so and the amenities would definitely be another mil or so for sure 😂....... I would've taken $25 mil and give some to my familia and definitely do something for the homeless etc etc .......just my opinion 🤷🏾

I would have immediately put 50 to a 100 million away in a no lose investment. Money that I couldn't touch for at 5 years. Just in case I would have done something crazy with the majority of the winnings. He has to learn ways to make his money grow. Without money coming in, it can not and will not last forever... 🙂

The outside looks like a modern industrial building. Not a fan, the inside on the other hand is more of the modern nice asthetics i like plus Cool location. Either way I can't afford lol but if my 200k budget suddenly became a 200m dollar budget it's nice to know I would look elsewhere lmao

I would never spend 25 million on a house I would have bought land and then have me a house built.... that's a big waste of money to me but everyone is different

These hillside homes can take anywhere between 3-5 years to build from design to permits and construction. The foundation and caissons alone take about a year. Putting that to one side, he still has a lot more money left to buy land, homes, boats, and a plane. 👍

He did buy it with a LLC, but unfortunately there’s still ways around it. I hope he invests a lot in security because a small gate on the front of his property on a public street in the hills is not gonna keep the crazies away 🥴

My goodness, when that “drone view” came down and showed the hood, this thing is in ….I thought….with all that money, why on earth would you wanna live there! I’d be as far from those awful people as possible…I get the view of the ocean, but man o man….stick me on a island off the coast with a few decent folks on it…oh well. Hope he’s happy….but ya know what they say. Money does not buy happiness.

Yeah so you wind up with $750M after taxes, invest it conservatively at 5% and it would generate $37.5M a year (about $25M after taxes) so this purchase isn't really out of line. That $25M per year after taxes would continue as long as you leave the principal amount alone.

These Hillside homes typically cost around $1000 sqft to build, taking into consideration all the extensive foundation and building requirements. Also the timeline is around 3 to 4 years from purchase to getting plans and permits and going through the complex construction

That hillside is sketchy. It's not stone it's loose sand and that is a verticle wall of it.

All the new homes have very strict construction regulations. And all foundations have to hit and go into bedrock. So they are as secure and safe as can be.

I would build a 1000 acre horse ranch in Montana, with a custom home, 5 miles away from any neighbors. To each his own, but that's a lot of money to spend and NOT get any privacy!!

Nice house but there’s no way I’d buy a house such as this if I won the PB or MM cause just think about the up keep of a place like this the water power heating and cooling let alone the constant cleaning cause looking at how open it is it will have dust on everything all the time property tabes and homeowners insurance a place like that will continually drain your pockets I’m happy for him but please maintain to a minimal my friend and you shall be alright, Congratulations again and enjoy the rest of your life by the way let us know when the house warming party is I’ll come DJ for ya
