A year and a half ago, I lost my mother to cancer. I'm apparently starting a tradition of sketching her from an old photo on her birthday. Yesterday, she would have been 79 years old.
I'm still no good at drawing faces. I typically try over and over and eventually I just give up and call it done. Anyway, I think I managed to capture the fact that my mother was a cool girl.
