Blair always struck me as a cheap second-hand car salesman but, hospital waiting lists were at an historic low, the ecconomy grew, people and services worked. He did take us to war on lies but he didn't crash our ecconomy and his ministers stole less.

He did open to door to a flood of migrants. This has destroyed Britain and the quality of life of the British.

@@yuglesstube yeah it was immigration that froze public spending, sold off half of the nation's institutions and gave huge government contracts to the relatives of politicians the last 10 years. Governments are powerless and can do nothing, it's immigrants who have complete control over he economy, police, schools and NHS amiright?

@@TechnoLadz He opened the UK labour market to immigrants in 2004. The inflows exceeded estimated by over 20 times. Read The Conversation...The huge political cost of Blair's decision to allow Eastern European migrants unfettered access to Britain. It's an academic article.

10:50 "He's not shown any ability to enthuse [like Blair]." I think you can actually put Corbyn in with Blair there. Whatever you think of both of them, both Blair and Corbyn got certain people enthusiastic. Different people and in different ways, but they both in some sense were Heineken-esque in that they refreshed parts of the electorate that previous leaders hadn't reached. I really don't think you can point to anything *like* a similar novelly-enthused cohort for Starmer.

Was chatting with a friend about this at the weekend - we’re v hopeful for another episode soon. (Acknowledging the main news story doesn’t lend itself to the format.) If not Bingo then just some general scribbling and Miranda & Roberting on a flipchart. For the suggestions box: maybe a long-running game of snakes & ladders? Rishi, Kier, Ed & Humza playing pieces, you can decide the dice rolls based on events/policies and throw in long snakes for major hiccups and short ladders for little wins for example.

What exactly are you own about here. The thing is these leaders have their own personalities that are different too.Sunak has leadership skills that are strong when it comes to being a country leader but Starmer is weak on this. Sunak is pragmatic and Starmer is idealistic. Sunak is decent and Starmer is indecent, Sunak has integrity, Starmer hasn't . Being a country leader has a lot that voters consider from that leader, for GE is about party leaders the most. Sunak will definitely win GE for he is a leader with charisma and professionalism too and he does it low key too and he knows how to face a challenge and come up with a solution to tackle the issue, as for Starmer he is a leader who is aggressive always and he is indecisive too and if it was Labour government in power now we would still be in lockdown and bankrupt too for Starmer is a non PM Material. The way Starmer represents himself at PMQs proves how dull Starmer is for he asks questions accusing PM of what his Labour cabinet can't tackle for Starmer can't come up with how his Labour cabinet will tackle that better, from Starmer's face at PMQs he proves he is better off a leftie lawyer not Party leader. And again it's all about being honest as a leader but Starmer is the most dishonest leader ever he cheated to be Labour leader too.

@@zenouxbeauty I'm not voting for either, none of them represent my views. All of what you said could be true, but it doesn't matter, people don't want Sunak to be PM and thats the bottom line. He isn't winning a general election, at the very best he will be doing damage control and trying to retain seats.

Over the last 20 years the UK and the EU have declined economically by 50% compared to the USA. That's why salaries haven't gone up and living standards have crashed, its the same all over Europe and the reason is because of the EU and its love of high taxes and bureaucracy. The average EU country is now poorer per head than every state in America bar Idaho and Mississippi. We need a lot less EU and a lot more USA !

This conversation is actually insightful, but the whole lets play "bingo" thing at the beginning thing was annoying. The FT has an incredible brand why trash it to compete with LBC. There's a huge audience for creators telling insightful stories, via a bit of internet research and archive footage so still cheap to make like this.
