The Virginia Tech Solar Kiln project has begun! I plan to build my kiln out of hemlock, as I have a lot of it in my bush, and it will be a good project to test hemlock out before I commit to using it for other things like board and baton siding for my house.
Watch as I put my ATV log arch to the test hauling a big hemlock log through the uneven, muddy terrain. Once out of the bush, I will be milling it into lumber on my Rima RS31G sawmill to use for this project.
