Loved the tude back in the 80's. $7 for 1/2-day pass...of course then we were on 207's and had a lot of hiking to get to the goods...

Only on weekends...but the main lift from base to (semi) top was a double, long time ago. Had to take 2 chairs to get to the Honeycomb gap (entry) from the base. I remember 5-10 empty chairs between people then. Great drops right under the chair, if you had the balls to take them. Usually roped-off, but some of us didn't mind breaking rules.

Starting of video is off Honeycomb Canyon after a long traverse correct? Did you just stay high when traversing and then do a short bootpack up? Terrain looks awesome.

I have the older model of the Atris which is 108 underfoot as opposed to the 105 on newer models. Do you think there is much of a difference between the two?
@spencerethington4 ай бұрын
not really. My older skis had 97 underfoot and these newer skis feel about the same as my old 97s

I do recall the snow in Utah to be much dryer then what I was mostly used to in Tahoe.Seemed easier to ski.

5:05 is this off middle slope? Also, no fantasy? Have you hit the chutes just uphill from Summit lift tower 11?
@spencerethington3 ай бұрын
It's the chute under tower 15. Fantasy ridge wasn't open, and it's only the 3rd steepest run at solitude. If you are talking about cathedral cirque on tower 11, then yes I do those a lot, just not very fluidly so i don't include videos of it.
@nadakidd3 ай бұрын
@@spencerethington oh I recognize it now. Yeah I do that one when it's not too exposed. I hear you on the tower 11 cutes. Those are really tight and about as steep as anything I've found inbounds so far. I just spent a few days out at Breck, Copper, and Keystone and it gave me more appreciation for our "little" mountain back home.
