If the patient is strong enough to make a bridge like that I should think it would be possible to put them in a wheelchair & take them to a toilet that has been designed so the patient can be slid onto & off the toilet with ease. Or preferably, use a commode like wheel chair which has an opening in the bottom so that it can be wheeled into position above a toilet, so that the patient does not need to be transferred to the toilet seat from the wheelchair at all. This method has the advantage of allowing the patient to feel they are in normal surroundings & have the privacy of the toilet cubicle. Some patients cannot go on a bedpan, its too unfamiliar. However it might be necessary for a nurse to know this skill for patients with some sort of specific injury which prevents them being put in a wheelchair.

@@joyfulmoment9900 I am an stna and believe me they made this video look like a piece of cake! Most of the time a person can't bridge like that, you usually have to roll them on a side then put the bedpan in place and have them roll back over. Another thing is that most can't clean themselves you have to do it for them imagine trying to clean yourself after having a bowel movement sitting on a bedpan not happening!! And where I work there is always a chuck under them already in case of an accident. This video was so far from what happens in real life .
