This is the best tutorial for the L'Ange Le Duo I've seen yet and I've watched several videos because I just purchased one. I have the same kind of hair as yours. It's thin (post menopause) and has always been straight as a pin! Since I color my hair I'm terrified of curling irons, so I was happy to come across this product with its built in fan to protect the hair. I also like how we can control the temperature. Thanks for the warning about how easy it is to accidentally increase the temperature! Your hair looks lovely! Now I'm really looking forward to using it. I felt the same way about the pink color so I was very happy to order it in black.

Thank you so much for this Video. It has helped tremendously with how to use this tool. This tool has been an absolute GAME CHANGER for me! I have thick, straight, silver hair. A curling iron makes it turn yellow. Yuck. This does now and you are right, it feels so healthy!! 🙂

I just bought one this week in pink. I’m a big time “buy things in black”, but in the last year I am incorporating more color. I’m going to use it for the first time today. Wish me luck, as I have been using regular curling irons since I can remember. I only get one haircut a year and therefore my hair can be from just under my shoulders to almost my waist. So, I ended up purchasing the grande size. It will be interesting to see what hairstyles I can come up with depending on the curl and how I up i start.

i have had mine for about a year and i absolutely love it. i tried many, many, many diff curling irons and the curls/waves would fall out before i left the house. for people struggling, try holding it upside down. that's what i do. i saw that on another video and i get more consistent results. i also frequently change temp accidentally. i always have to check to make sure i didn't press the button.

Hi Mary! I have hair like your yours. So I took your advice and purchased it with some skepticism.And like you again. I can't do hair. So, when I came home and it was on my counter, I ran upstairs and plugged it in and followed you! Well, it took some practice but I was pleasantly surprised! Now, I don't think i am ready to go out in public quite yet, but this I can use and with a bit more practice, I think I will be strutting my stuff. Lol! Thanks Mary.

Thanks for this video! I’d been looking for a better way to get waves than my old curling iron; I’d even considered the stupidly expensive Dyson or Shark air flow thingies. I bought the L’Ange on your rec and so far it’s perfect! I even got 40% off on their website.

Fantastic!! My hand is hovering over the Shark buy button (I will NOT shell out for the Dyson though I want it badly) and I will probably cave at some point just because it's dry and curl at the same time. But the L'Ange I'm using a few times a week and just love it. Glad you do too!

I just ordered this and I’m anxiously awaiting it’s arrival 😅 I had bought the bubble wand from Lange but after 2 tries I knew it was a fail for my hair incompetent hand/arms. But it did get me looking for something that I could do. Loved how your hair turned out ; I too have very thin, straight hair. ❤hugs from Idaho

I'm growing out my bangs now for curtain bangs. There are many videos on You Tube on how to style them (mine aren't long enough yet, so I can't really try the techniques). Most seem to involve putting a round brush on the top of your bangs and pulling and rolling forward. Good luck! Love your curls!

I still use this 1 or 2x a week, every week. I'm obsessed with the results and it's the easiest thing to use. If it broke, I would buy another one tomorrow. I haven't noticed additional damage. I think it's far better then then curling irons I use to use, because this glides through and doesn't remain on the hair.

I was at Ulta a few days ago and they actually had this in store. I have been wanting to try for a while. My hair is similar to yours and I am struggling to get the hang of it. I keep hitting the button and the heat goes down. Ahhhh. I want to love this. I tried the conair and it did nit want to curl and broke so much of my hair.

I love my Lange but same thing I keep it turning off doing my curls but is the best curling tool I ever had curls last longer and they are soft to touch and shiny

Robin again, just played around with this very quickly- as I said I have thick hair- in fact I have lots of hair but fine hairs. If that’s more helpful. Here is a super quick try to see if it would curl easily. I had to use the second highest setting, lower setting didn’t do much for me. Make sure you smooth out each section with brush before you curl. I didn’t do from roots, worked much better- ? Again I don’t have the hang of looking good- but the curls I did do were very ringlet and great. They will fall out and I won’t use a brush, just fingers. Hairspray not sure….thought I could show a picture but I guess not.

@@SkinObsessedMary thought it was you who gave the mid hair advice- if not, must have been the L’ange video on KZfaq. (?) big difference to do it that was for some reason. Morw totally random the directions you make the curls I think looked cool. Unfortunately don’t have a picture- but when I do it again I’ll send one. Today’s slept on hair won’t do it justice:)

Very occasionally but I loose hair anyway (even when blowdrying). The key for me to is make sure the hair is super smooth when it goes in. So I brush each section before I put it through. If it's rough at all, it'll grab and hold onto it.

Mary, I have the Omnilux LED Mask, bought it last June. Used it consistently for 4 months or so, but did not see any dramatic improvement. It says to use on a clean dry face. How can you use that recovery complex without damaging the mask? I am in my 70's thinking of purchasing another home device, would RF or Ultrasound devices be better. I don't have a lot of hyperpigmentation, just want to build up the volume and density of my skin. I do use Vit C and retinol but I need more!

Hi Bonnie. I tend to use the LED before putting on my complex. Are you able to try that? You may want to consult an aesthetician to see what they might recommend. I've not done Ultrasound at home but personally I really like the Evenskyn Lumo device. It's pretty powerful (EMS could be viewed as uncomfortable, but I don't mind it. Check out their website. www.evenskyn.com/products/skin-tightening-machine I did a video on it, if you're interested...

I bought one and live in Scotland so also need an adapter but take it anywhere in the world with me when travelling. I keep hitting the buttons too when I’m using it, which is super annoying. The air that comes out is described as cool but I find it’s only coolish for the first couple of minutes then it just gets warmer and warmer. I love it though cos it’s so easy to use. Just wish my curls wouldn’t drop so much 🙁

@@SkinObsessedMary oh yeah I’ve tried so many products. I might give that one a try, thanks but have a few texturising sprays namely Virtue labs, Moroccanoil and Sam McKnight but they all tend to make my thick bleached blonde bob feel really dry and don’t really keep the hold. Also tried the L’ange salt n sea spray. I’ve also used ghd curly ever after and have used everything from pomades to various hairsprays afterwards but the curls always drop right out after couple of hours. I will keep searching and thanks for the recommendation 😏

@@Linda9.12 I’ll be doing a hair video soon because I had the same problem with dry hair. I woke one day and it was super brittle. Didn’t know menopause hair is a thing! I do a lot of masks, daily hair oil too…all of which has helped. And I apply olaplex oil after using L’Ange. Helps soften

@@SkinObsessedMary yeah I’m exactly the same. Lots of masks, hydrating products and daily oil on the ends. I wondered if I use too much hydrating stuff which makes my curls drop. Might be but I couldn’t dry my hair without them…..nor my oil afterwards!!

I think this is going to take some real practice. It seems very important to get your hair very smooth- I have thick hair and hadn’t smoothed it out enough, so the wand didn’t move through my hair like it shows in this video. When I’ve had my hair done at salons this way- no combing! Just fingers. Curls will eventually drop- hour or so. Could be that I have thick hair and stylist wants it to set longer. If I combed or brushed like this person did- the wave would not look like hers. It would fall out too quickly. Smooth thin hair as she has might not need setting time. My two cents.

Good news- played with curler more- after watching Mary’s technique of starting curling mid-hair, worked really well. Brushed/smoothed every section before curling. Curls fell out nicely, looked great for 7 hours, woke up with even nicer softer waves. I’m seriously impressed. Very good product!
