No way... Coach Belein took Michigan to the finals with only 3 to 4 star recruiting talent. He also has a very young team.. If Coach JB had Izzo's recruits, He could potentially destroy Nova.. If not Belein, maybe Loyola coach... with their 2 to 3 star recruits...

Donte is really good. He literally displayed multiple skills any recruiter needed to see. He can drive in the paint, great offense, shoot, block, pass, dunk, good agility, and good defense. All this was shown in a championship game no less. This was THE game, not just a random game, but THE game to be playing like that. This dude can ball no doubt.

Yup, Villanova is officially...great! Let's remember we are talking about a team that just six years ago went 13-19 and people were questioning Jay Wright's job. Now, they join Florida, Kentucky and Duke as the only team to win two titles in three years since 1985. We talk about Jim Boeheim, John Calipari and Tom Izzo, but what about Wright? He was a beast... First he is 6th men, he does lot a dirty works like rebound defense etc.. Yesterday I saw the new role, backup PG.. Nova had PG on the field when Brunson had foul trouble 1st and 2nd half, but Nova gave Donte the ball and things went really smooth.. This guy is 6 tool players, TEAM Player, he starts in bench 1st and 2nd half except yesterday.. Can do anything what coach ask for.. Hope he end up Sixers just because Philly fans want him and they need player like him.. I can see fan club establish very soon!!

Villanova players stay 3-4 years and that is why they develop and mature in Jay Wright’s system. They always have vets who have been there in big games and younger 1-2 year players that are coming up and will eventually take over.

My thought exactly!The game resemblance is obvious.Actually he was the guy that the Spurs really wanted.Horst,the Bucks GM said that they believe that the Suns were going to pick him at 16,and you know what,i had seen a live show with his name on 16 going to the Suns,but it was retracted almost immediately because of the offer for Mikal Bridges from the Sixers.He was there for the Bucks to get, out of pure luck.

the reason he didnt start is because the guy infront of him is a loterry pick too. He got just as many minutes as the starters, so hes not really a bench player. And he was their best player at the tournament

Former Kentucky basketball player, Rex Chapman, had hops and could shot. He was a 1st round #8 overall pick in 1988. He averaged 14 ppg for his career. DiVincenzo, if viewed objectively, should be a lotto pick.

I want to give Skip Bayless a friggin salute. If politics were like sports racism would have been a thing of the past. I loved how they joked and made light of a glaringly obvious thing... American basketball as it is currently played is dominated by people of color, blacks, African American, or what ever you want to use. Skip said the reason Villanova's DiVincenso seems to not get as much press is because... HE IS "WHITE AMERICAN". Imagine how great America would be if we all just sat down and admitted to certain things. Like inner cities are targetted more by police because of crime rates but those areas have more minorities. Or things like we can't get an ideal gun control reform because the NRA and others who love their guns want to exercise their right to own one, but we continue to have massive killings involving innocent people. If we could just be open about things and just call them like we see them half of the mess we endure on an everyday basis would dissipate. Mr. Skip Bayless I salute you in your daring navigation and hope people do not give you backlash for stating something that is onviously true. That's not entirely true though. Jay Wright started Phil Booth in his place because of loyalty and Booth's ability to play D better on a consistent basis. That being said, Divencenzo averages more minutes, but just happens to come off the bench. So he plays starters minutes, Wright just preferred to have him coming off the bench because of his ability to energize the rest of the team, particularly when they need the lift.
