Yes that is true , I forgot to tell about the removal of the G62-1 senzor when filling the cooling system , except that , the procedure is exactly the same : Filling up Select the appropriate coolant additive from the → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts or from the list of allowed coolant additives → Fabia. - In a clean reservoir mix drinking water and coolant additive in the correct mixing ratio → Fabia. - Screw in coolant drain plug. A10-0118 - Remove retaining clip -2- and take coolant temperature sender -G62--1- out of the coolant regulator housing. S19-0086 - Fill with coolant slowly up to “max” marking on the expansion bottle. - Install coolant temperature sender -G62-. - Seal expansion reservoir. - Run engine until radiator fan starts.

I crashed car. Got new radiator. Assembled And put new coolant with open expansion tank And after 10 km refilled coolant. How to know if airlock? Octavia 2 1.4 59kw thank you

The cooling system capacity is 5.5 L if I don't mistaken .50:50 ratio si more than perfect. My sugestion is to drain the system an clean the expansion vesel , fill the circuit with distiled water , start the car and wait to warm up , drain the system again , repeat the procedure one more time before to fill the circuit with 50:50 ratio.

Wrong wrong wrong This is totally not professional and wrong. You must bleed air out of the engine before starting the engine otherwise the engine will overheat without bleeding the air. After adding new antifreeze remove the coolant sensor next to thermostat and wait until antifreeze comes out this is when no air is left in the engine. Put the sensor back and start the engine. I have the same car model and i know it very well.

@@medzoPuh No sir i read that also but i have the same car and on several coolant change intervals it did not bleed by itself and overheated, soon after that i took it to the skoda agency and technicians they confirmed must remove sensor next to thermostat, engine to be cold, fill the new coolant in plastic tank, wait until coolant comes out from sensor hole that is when no air is inside, put back the sensor, add some more in tank until you reach the MAX mark and stop. Close cap and its ready ! Start engine wait until fans work on slow speed then they stop automatically after a while, if they dont stop and start working faster speed then there is still air lock in engine. But usually if you do as i say your car is safe.

In spatele motorului, intre motor si bord, gen. E pus intr-o parte, aproape de alt senzor care seamana cu o sonda lambda, sau in alte cuvinte e sub amsamblul rotund de filtru de aer din mijlocul motorului. Motorul OHV 1.4 MPi nu are MAF senzor, are MAP senzor.

daca imi amintesc bine , 3.5 litri ccombinat , adica 1.75 antigel si 1,75 apa.

Salut , am fost si am vazut Skoda rosie din 1980 , din pacate e la nivelul de epava . E prea multa munca si efort la masina respectiva care din punctul meu de vedere nu se merita. Iar in perioada urmatoare nu stiu zau daca mai sunt sanse sa mai gasesc ceva avand in vedere criza COVID .

@@joecartmell8115 No. It has a plastic clips at the base. Just pull it back and the sensor is out.

@@peterketchijian6989 Thanks. I need to flush he system to try and remove some oil. Would you recommend doing this each time I refill after a drain?
