I now have one with Tech, Premium, Travel Pack and Virtual Dash with Ivory interior. But the standout is the Energy Blue paintwork -terrific colour. And it drives far better than I expected, very responsive and the DSG gearchange is imperceptible. The way the doors close tell me this is a very well engineered piece of work.

Many make mistake and call it little SUV. Little are Seat Arona or VW T-Roc. Karoq is mid size and on its class very spacious.

If you want right now the 2.0 TDI 190 PS you have to buy the Seat Ateca. A sportline version of the Karoq with the same engine and PS will maybe come at the end of the year. Anyway, the 150 PS is already pretty dynamic, bcoz the car is pretty small :)

Almost the same cars, Ateca is even made in Škoda's manufacturing line in Kvasiny (Czech Republic) as Karoq.

Dear Hicks, what is the problem with this engine, bacause I'm considering to buy this engine.

@@loosybolt3282 There seems to be a fair amount of the 1.5 engines in various brands (Karoq, T-Roc, etc) that have 2 problems. One is the kangaroo effect, especially when cold.......the other seems to be a problem with hesitation, for a few people even the engine dying. If you need to look more check out the Karoq forum through the Briskoda site. If they get these problems figured out I will likely buy a Karoq.....but until then I will wait to see what happens. There are a lot of happy people with their Karoq as well.....

@@johngibson9463 Yep.....I was sorely tempted to buy one....but just didn't want to play the odds. Bought a Suzuki Vitara instead, so far the only thing I am missing is the digital speedometer. The issues with the manuals with the 1.5 was just a continuing problem with no real solution in sight. The DSG's had a lot less complaints....but..... The Vitara might end up being a little better for us....a little bit smaller and I can still get all my golf crap behind the back seats.

Actually not. Karoq is a bit smaller than the Tiguan. The Kodiaq is bigger than the Tiguan, but almost the same size as the Tiguan Allspace.

Isn't Tiguan 2L Turbo All wheel drive ? This is front wheel 1.5L Turbo engine.

@@luckyk5851 We recently tested the 2L 4Motion Tiguan Comfortline with Luxury pack at VW's special offer price of around $53K. VW really tried hard for us to buy it, but despite the leather seats etc the interior didn't feel very special, and while it was ok to drive it was a bit lethargic off-the-mark. By comparison the almost fully-loaded Karoq ( no sunroof and standard, but terrific, paint) at $44K makes the Tiguan look old fashioned inside and out. It feels almost Audi quality. The 1.5L motor is quiet and responsive and perfectly mated to the 7 speed DSG.
