Watched this vid after buying a 2nd hand (2010) manual gearbox 1.8 petrol Scout .......absolutely wonderful car with many of the present cars features , just a shame that there is no longer a petrol manual option in the Skoda UK range (but they exist on the European mainland). Come on guys give us some extra options please!

What sort of fuel consumption do you get from it? I cant decide between the 1.8tsi and the 2.0tdi

@@jackp-j1041 Difficult to recall (it was over 4 years ago now) but it wasn't excessive. IF I put an estimate it would be about 35mpg, which for a non-lightweight 4wd drive car is reasonable. I have also owned a 4wd diesel Yeti (109 bhp remapped to 180'ish) that was quite a bit more economical ie high 40's,low50's . The petrol 1.8 was remapped to ~210 bhp btw (from its standard 160)

@@AlanBeardEfviUK Thanks! Back then 35mpg wasnt too bad, and as you say, for a 200+hp AWD car, its very good! But with todays fuel prices, Ill opt for the diesel! Thanks!

@@jackp-j1041 Probably the wise choice, if you get the lower powered versions ie 109bhp, have a look at remapping....they do feel terribly sluggish without a boost
