This is our skoolie propane system install. We're running a propane water heater and a propane stove in a skoolie. We show you how to install CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) and how to install propane tanks in a skoolie in addition to our propane regulator installation. The propane system starts with two 20lb propane tanks and runs up through the floor and along the underside of the foot of the bed. The CSST will tee to the water heater while the rest continues behind the bathroom wall and cabinets to the propane stove.

Thank you guys for doing this video! This will be so helpful, we will be doing something similar! We just have to figure out how to put on those fitting he did lol. Looks like you should buy your dad some new gloves, he is working hard! We are in that same heat so we feel you for sure, drink water and stay safe!

(Questions? Of course I have questions!) On your dual LP tank connector: Can you give us some details on that? I've heard that there's ones that will draw from one tank, and when it's dry, automatically switch over to the 2nd tank. (And on a cool note: The QR code you held up at the Mexican restaurant works from my screen!) Have a great week! :)

Yes, I noticed at the last minute (while editing) that we didn’t have video of that being installed. One of the few times we were all doing separate projects and not videoing them all 😂 We’re planning an update video soon where we answer questions that people have asked about certain projects after the fact and maybe give a bit more detail on certain things, too.

Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing . Did it come it two lengths that equal 33'? or is it one length and you guys cut it? I don't need 33' and cant find anything shorter?

We found it in 25’, 50’, and 75’ I think.

Ooh, great question-we should’ve mentioned this. We plan to put a small wood stove in the bus. Stay tuned!

How tall is your compartment? Do you find it easy to pull the tanks in and out and to hook them up? Trying to decide on dimensions for ours under the bus.

To be honest, we’ve only had to put them in once during install, and I guess we’ll find out first time we change them. Admittedly, it’s a little tighter than we’d really like, but we decided to sacrifice some height to keep them off the ground enough. Give and take, I guess!

I believe the tanks are 18”, so maybe we cut the rods to 24”? Somewhere in that range.

We've got 81 gallons of fresh, 42 gallons of grey, and no black. We have a Nature's Head composting toilet.

Yes, it is. It automatically switches to the second tank.

So not right! That feeling of being violated is real, pervasive. Though the cost of a new generator is money you don’t want to spend, it’s the disappointment in some part of humanity that will stick with you. I’m sorry. Most people, 99%, would never think of stealing, the others are absolutely clueless. Hard to do but keep your head up, forgive, and move on. We enjoy what you do. Go for it without hesitation.

@@TaleOfTwoSmittys it just the role i saw in the video is meant for plumbing fixtures. Usually gas rated tape is yellow in color. I couldn't see the label in the video though so just thought I would alert you to the possibility.
