There’s a bit in Alien Resurrection, the fourth Alien movie, that lives rent free in my head for how stupid it is. In the directors cut, there is a scene where a few people are explaining to the clone of Ripley (don’t ask, it’s dumb) what happened in the past 1000 years or so. So remember Wayland-Yutani? The company that wants to study the alien and have them as like attack dogs? The ones that considered the crew of the Nostromo expendable so long as the Xenomorph made it back? The one reason the protagonists can never just cut their chances and run because they need to kill it, least WY gets their hands on it? One of the characters goes “Wayland-Yutani? Wayland-Yutani… oh yes! I remember them! *THEY GOT BOUGHT OUT BY W A L M A R T* ”

I love playthroughs of horror games where people just react to things shown in the game as if they were the most normal day to day interactions possible. Like i don't want to see someone scream their guts out when you see the beast from Amnesia chasing you. I want to see someone look at it and go "what up man".
